Ugh, this whole rumour thing is driving me nuts. I bought a ticket just in case but it's so uncertain :/
IF they play (and it's a huge if) it could just be a couple of songs, and I doubt there'd be anything new. I'd be happy enough with that, being localish and it being a good cause, but it's horrible if you have to travel cos it's just too much of a risk.

Would it be naïve of me to expect something new to drop? (Or they'll just play Eez-eh/Bumblebee/Stevie?) From what I've heard it doesn't sound like they have recorded any of the new material with the whole band yet. So I'm not sure if they would play it live. I'd love to see them but it's too much of a risk for travel from Germany. And even if it's true, they might only play two songs or something. Hmmmm, if they haven't recorded anything at full band formation yet then Nothing new will get played indeed. Also, have you heard anything about the plans for the summer?

I bought a ticket too because I live very close to Kentish Town. There is a great new burger place just across the road, so if Kasabian are not playing, we can go and have a burger, having donated £40 to a good cause

I agree, this whole rumour thing is driving me nuts! I still haven't got my ticket yet, but I'm coming anyway to meet up with everyone and enjoy a burger. I wonder if the whole band would come if they are not headlining the show. I think it would be more like an acoustic set. Serge, Tom and a couple of the other band members (depending on the song). I remember just Serge & Ian appeared on the Russell Brand show on Channel 4 some years back.

I really doubt they'll do it at the Forum - it's a 2000+ capacity venue and they've never done anything like that. I'm thinking if it's really happening, it'll be 2-3 big hits and that's it.

I'd be surprised if it was acoustic. Pleasantly surprised, but very surprised. If they do it, I can see a short set and/or possible onstage collaboration with one of the other bands/artists playing.
Haha, until we know for sure either way we'll be guessing all sorts, won't we?

I just couldn't imagine Paloma allowing Kasabian to have a full band/set and upstage her Since it's a charity gig organised by someone else and she isn't even the headliner I'm not sure if Paloma would be in a position to allow anything. For some reason I keep picturing something like Warchild 2010, with Laroux and whoever else was there. But it had the added excitement of the Brits win right before, so it was obviously different. We'll just have to wait and see. By the way, did anyone see that in the NME article it says the charity was started by Lliana Bird? They're friends.

that was a nice queuing experience, mostly spent in a cafe or in my car listening to music.

So it wasn't Kasabian at the end?
