So it wasn't Kasabian at the end? It was them, until they cancelled last minute because Tom was ill. There was no sign of them or their equipment whole day, then the times for the secret act suddenly changed - before peace and paloma, and only 20 minutes, and that's when we got suspicious. After they announced some woman - kate something as a secret act, we asked the security what's going on and he said that kasabian were asked but they told the organisers that 'the singer is unwell' and they can't do it. It was very disappointing, especially now knowing that there was a real chance of them playing. The only good thing was we could sit in the car instead of freezing and I think everybody's highlight of the day was a very young Paloma fan's reaction when Paloma came to talk to him (when he was sitting in pip's sleeping bag). He was just mindblown. I know that londonlaura and frencheezeh stayed for the gig - I hope you managed to enjoy it.

Gig was OK. Peace and Paloma were entertaining, but OMG, "Poet" Kate Tempest. No thanks. She was like a bad John Cooper Clarke on speed. Could not understand a word she was saying. Bring back Keats! Just saw on Twitter today that Serge was at Noel Fielding's gig last night. Highlight of my day was in the pub talking to the Forum Gang. Missed the first 2 acts as we were with Flip Flop & Sunday Girl looking at their Kasabian photos on their phones and talking about Abbey Road. Much more interesting than the show, I have to say.

Ugh, I wrote a whole post and somehow managed to make it disappear before I hit send *TIRED* But hehe, 'a bad John Cooper Clarke on speed' is a great description of Kate Tempest. Was so lovely to see everyone, at least, and to finally meet frencheezeh. And of course, I didn't queue, by the time I got there everyone was already in the pub Hope we didn't go on about Abbey Road etc too much - we do get a bit carried away with that stuff. Having a captive audience for once was just too tempting!

After they said the King Power Stadium gig was originally booked for next year, I was wondering whether they were/are planning to do stadiums next year after all, or if it was always going to be a one-off in Leicester. And wasn't there always a lot of fuss about how they weren't allowed to play the stadium anyway because it wasn't built for music gigs? Did they get special reinforcements in the meantime?

Interesting bit at the end of this videoThey think they'll be on the tour during the Champions League matches. Group stage is from September - December.

Pretty sure Glasto is taking a year off in 2017. But I am absolutely sure they will tour like madmen next summer, basically they squeeze in 2 summers in one! I bet they headline Reading, they haven't been there for a while and honestly 2017 might be too soon for a Glasto comeback. Isle of Wight is a solid bet too. As is a stadium tour, but that's another story and highly dependent on how well the Album and the obviously coming arena tour will sell.

Anyone think a December tour might happen? If the Album is indeed coming at the fall (I have my doubts about it) Then a December tour is a very safe bet. Depends on when the album is coming out though.
