I can only hope against hope they'll come to the states for a small leg of the tour supporting the new album, but it doesn't look likely at this stage...

I think they'll probably go back to the usual places at some point in the future, New York, LA, Chicago, but I don't really see them actively try to ~break America~ anymore. It's too big, you can't cover most of it in 3-4 gigs like European countries, it must be difficult to do it justice. The only time they tried to tour properly they had no label support and it was all a bit shit.

So, and I really don't know where to post this, but is anyone going to the continental Europe gigs next month? I happen to be in Europe when they are taking place and I could make going to one of them work, is anyone going to them? Haven't really listened to any of the new material but if I meet any of you I'd go anyway, the old tunes will always be bangers worth seeing.

Now after they had to downgrade the German gigs it's even more interesting for UK fans I think. Cologne venue holds 800 people. I will only do the Brussels show as it looks now. Can't be bothered doing more unless they really change their set and throw out some evergreens and replace them by "Serge songs" that he is able to sing properly (why not explodes for example, there are so many that they could use). Wondering how the low ticket sales (even UK is not running very well as far as I can see) will influence their slots on festivals in the future.

I think they’ll be fine with festival bookings tbh, they’re still a big name and will attract a good crowd. UK tour sales are interesting, less venues than usual, reduced capacity at those venues and still tickets unsold etc. However, I would say sales are still pretty good considering what’s happened. Definitely still one of the UKs biggest bands

What are everyone's predictions for next year? Australia? Some more festivals in summer are probably a safe bet. I don't know if they would risk a US tour at this time. They've always done pretty well in Germany and now they had to downgrade all the gigs when they weren't big venues to begin with.
I wonder why the Italian gigs were cancelled. They weren't that large either and one was a festival. Not sure if it was low sales, you'd think Italians wouldn't care that Tom is gone lol.

I'm a little surprised there's no European tour this year, they always used to come in October/November like clockwork. I wasn't able to see them on the Alchemist tour, how was the general atmosphere? Anything that might have made them feel like it's not worth coming back, like half empty venues?

I suspect Brexit might be one of the main reasons as I know from musicians friends how increasingly hard and expensive it is to organise gigs and transport instruments.

Seven number one albums and can't afford to fly to Germany? I guess I won't see them again then lol.
