now i love brixton, its my fave venue, but 5 nights is just bonkers When you take into consideration that the O2 is 20k capacity, and Brixton is 2k (I think), it makes sense that if they're playing it, they play it at least 3 nights to shift enough tickets to justify it to the label.

I don't think there are any basis for the brixton rumour and it doesn't make such sense, but according to the Amazon presale code, the official announcement about the UK tour will be by June 30, so we will know everything in a month or so.

Right, I've got a day off work, so I've scribbled down some arena tour notes onto a tissue, so maybe we can piece something together. The Empire winter tour took in Leicester, Glasgow, Manchester, Cardiff, Birmingham, Nottingham, Brighton, Bournemouth, London and Newcastle. The WRPLA winter tour added Aberdeen, Liverpool, Sheffield and Dublin, whilst dropping Leicester and Brighton. Finally, the winter Velociraptour! added Belfast and dropped Bournemouth. Interestingly, they chose two nights in Nottingham. In terms of bunchings, Birmingham and Nottingham are usually back to back, as are Manchester and Cardiff. I can't see any cities being added, or taken away for the 48:13 arena tour, so I'll guess we'll have thirteen dates. If the tour starts following the Zenith date, as it did last time...we could likely see the tour start in Belfast on the 10/11th of November. The Hydro in Glasgow is booked that first week, so I think that and Aberdeen will come near the end, and they'll finish up in London around the turn of the new month.

A wee date at the Hydro for my birthday would be ideal.

Your schedule seems very realistic, stannis - I'd just expect more European dates and a later start for the UK tour, something like the second half of November.

I reckon they might be announced for the end of October. There's a seemingly traditional four or five German shows prior to any Italian gigs. That would run close to the end of the US fall run however...I'd imagine they'd be keen for another wee break after that.

Ah of course you're right, somehow in my head the US tour was going to end at the end of October. Really hoping for some German shows, I love them.

German gigs before Italy would be so convenient for me, the first week of November would be manageable too but slightly more difficult, depending on where they're playing.

The basis for the Brixton rumour is from talking to Chris at the Abbey Road listening party. I was talking to him about the Brixton gig in 2012, and he said "you know what? We enjoyed that gig so much, that we've decided to do 5 nights at Brixton on the tour, rather than your O2, Wembley, y'know?"
He could have easily been on a windup, but I said to Tim afterwards, "I hear you're due to play Brixton?" and he said "Yeah. nights in November or December or something."

Last year Chris told me that they haven't played Reason Is Treason for 10 years, so idk. 5 nights at Brixton sounds more like a wishful thinking rather than a realistic plan.

Hoping they don't swap Sheffield for the new Leeds FD arena.
