A thread for Ian - I thought he was extra amazing yesterday, loved him drumming for every single song, Club Foot was explosive, the Underdog buildup, Vlad, the new intros... I love love love his drums in Days, so sharp and beautiful. Missing the gong though this tour, the Underdog outro sounds a bit too gentle without it.

I knew you were an Ian fanatic given the fact you zoomed in on him a lot of times. Your YouTube account is T Leaf, right?

I knew you were an Ian fanatic given the fact you zoomed in on him a lot of times. I don't think acknowledging the members of the band who are not Tom and Serge necessarily makes you a fanatic. Also, Ian is a phenomenal drummer and immensely fun to watch. I should upload some of my videos from when we saw him last October, actually. I was thinking the same about the Underdog ending when I edited the audio. Maybe there was no space for the gong in the truck after Serge brought his fancy new keyboard. I would have said after Serge brought his wardrobe, but he's only got one outfit this tour.

This is why I made this thread because he's so underrated even in the fandom, that you're not even supposed to film him. And if you do, you must be weird or something. I'm sure nobody questions videos of Serge's legs.

Well, i think it does;) And this is a good thing. I for one am a fanatic of all 4 of them, so also of Ian. Look at the way he gets in trance every time he starts playing. It is contagious! All of them are sooo different and this is what makes a band like Kasabian work.

I obviously do acknowledge his playing. It's usually Tom and Serge getting the limelight, but especially as a band, Ian does an excellent job. Especially the ending part in Later With Jools when they played Bumblebeee

I wish we could have the drum tracks for Bumblebeee, it's so gorgeous. I love how much you can hear the drums on this album, I hope Serge always produces on his own from now on because it's such a perfect balance of Ian's drumming and drum samples on that song.

I'm fairly new to the fandom. Like most fans, I initially fell in love with Tom but soon enough I fell in love with him tood. I do like the other three but he's like the least appreciated of them four and it makes me sad (especially when stalking tumblr posts and seeing just one or two entries about him or posts of his pictures). It makes fangirling more challenging.
