Sounds amazing. Just requested to join the Facebook page and Danny Ilett has approved me. One of my best friends lives in Bristol. She usually comes to stay me, but I think I shall be visiting her more in future

Ian on the Mike Dolbear Web Show. I only just started watching but he's talking a bit about the current Kasabian situation.

For those who don't have the time to watch it all, what does he basically say? Album next year?

For those who don't have the time to watch it all, what does he basically say? Album next year? He doesn't mention any dates unfortunately. It sounds like the album isn't quite finished. He says Serge has the "body of the album" but he still has some ideas. It's not as non-committal as I expected, but if you ask me he seems to be very careful about what he says. He talks about the break like it's a positive thing, saying they've been touring so intensely for 12 years, it's good to do some other things, and he thinks it's "amazing" that Comeback Kid is in FIFA. He also talks a bit about the Leicester gigs and about the various times they played Glasto. The main bit about Kasabian is at the beginning of the video.

Aw Ian talking about football and actually being excited about it made me laugh a bit. He's not from Leicester and isn't into football at all but I guess it must have been so lovely for him to see his bandmates so happy about their teams victory.
Serge could start giving us some bits of that body of the album. We'll have it limb by limb.

Ian's doing 2 masterclasses at the London Drum Show next weekend if anyone is interested and can make it.

More Ian news (as he's the only Kasabian member who remembers his actual profession) - he's nominated in the best British rock drummer category by Musicradar - you can (and should) vote for him here, on the second page.

I think you can vote multiple times. I just went back to the page to vote for his drumkit as well and I could vote for him again. Shame it's so quiet at the moment, not a ton of people will see this.
