Q is the worst. Gordon Smart is the second worst. Daily Star is also the worst. Sunday Times was crap too. NME has its moments.

I just thought of another press fail, but it's to do with the fans and not the band. I've read in a couple of places Kasabian fans described as knuckle-dragging, Jeager bomb swilling, football hooligans, which obvious describes us all here so well....I'll try to find the last place I read that, think it was earlier this year That's funny. I don't even watch football and I have never been in a fist fight. I want to but I haven't been in that trouble. It kinda makes me feel so down that Tom said Jazz is dead for him. It was a stab to the gut, given that I watched all the videos I can get my hands on of Ian playing jazz and I was fangirling so hard.

I think Tom sometimes says things off the cuff. In the 2009 Live Lounge interview he said he loved Jazz.

I just don't like anything that somehow seems... exploitative, I suppose. Like getting Tom to talk about ET or toys just to make fun of him in the finished article, reinforcing the image of him being a bit of an idiot, because he is the exact opposite. Or the fucking ADD thing they won't let go, it upsets me. The only recent article I liked was the NME one from the Scottish or Irish tour because it was just about the gigs and simply pleasant to read. And all of Tom's rambly Dublin interviews were cute because it was the first thing that wasn't specifically promoting the album anymore, so there was no "but why is it pink"

I have seen that in the past, but I don't think it was the case this time. He does love ET and he doesn't mind talking about it. I don't think liking ET makes him seem like an idiot. I love ET. It's a classic film.

How about a Deezer fail? Still no sign of that acoustic session from what I can see.

Tom and Sergio seem like they are really cool. I would love to meet them. I live right by the Metro in Chicago so maybe I might run into them during the day on Wednesday. At least that is the plan. I met a lot of people back in the mid-90's from Noel and Liam, Damon Albarn and Richard Ashcroft. All were great to talk to. You always got the impression from the American press that was not true. With that being said, I can't wait for the show on Wednesday. Kasabian have been my favorite band for years and it is mind boggling to me that they are not bigger in the US. Maybe this mini tour will be a launching pad!

Only the 12th best festival band according to an NME poll. The voters must be the people who didn't manage to get Glasto tickets. Oh well, at least Kasabian are ahead of Paramore.
