People everywhere commenting "if Tom isn't involved I'm not going" like okay? Then don't?

Got tickets for Glasgow gig. They way I see it is that of similar to a football team. One of the stars of that team has left but I'm not going to stop supporting that team.
I'm interested and intrigued as to what the live sets will be like. It might be that we get to hear some different songs to normal which would be good.
I think most of us won't have heard much live stuff from FCOL for example.

I think most of us won't have heard much live stuff from FCOL for example. They hardly played any of it, didn't they? They never played Good Fight, All Through The Night and Sixteen Blocks. They only played Twentyfourseven and The Party Never Ends a few times. AYLFA only once. They also never played Explodes and Doomsday, and Glass once. There has never been a more perfect moment to get weird with the setlist.

Doesn't help that it feels like Velociraptor was the last album they toured properly.

I'm sick of people talking about giving Tom a second chance
What about giving the remaining Kasabians a second chance, eh? They've gone and put together a whole new show for you and you're not even considering going. At least give them the opportunity to prove they can pull something off without Tom.

They started in June 2011 and didn't really stop until July 2013. The 48:13 tour was also pretty extensive, they went to lots of countries they'd never been before, and then FCOL was unusually short. FCOL feels like a fever dream sometimes.

Got the Brixton 2nd date of which was totally painless,i think this will be a good run of show's as long as they go ahead but if not then they should do a live stream,i would definitely pay for it.

So Pizzabian now got all dates sold out, yeah? Can't say I'm surprised. It's possible that in non-Covid world there would have been much much less enthusiasm towards this tour...

I saw some people share this one quote from Serge, saying he could never go on stage without Tom. But he said that 12 years ago. He's matured, he's grown really confident in the meantime. West Ryder Serge wasn't a frontman, but this one will be fine.
Which reminds me, I did say in one of the threads back in July that he is delusional if he thinks he can do Kasabian without Tom, and I feel like I have to edit that a little. I said it after the original statement which we all know was misleading. What I thought in that moment was that the fans would never accept it if they just continued without him. Of course then everything changed a few hours later.

I think Kasabian without Tom is possible, but it will be a different band. Not necessarily better or worse, but different.
