By all means rebrand but really.... As for using the old logo and harking back to their debut album, that's another kick in the teeth for Tom too I'm sure. Feels bad to feel sadness for Tom given what he's obviously put the band through, but I guess I always hoped the band would wait for him to repent and regenerate... |

I was really hoping they would either continue with a new name or continue as SLP for a while, because Tim and Chris were part of his live band anyway. And then maybe reunite with Tom at some point in the future.

I'm happy they're back although I didn't expect it that soon.
At some point I could get it that it might upset some people cos there's no Tom and all but like Ian said, it's not only Tom's career, it's theirs as well.
I think they want to see the reaction from the people by going under Kasabian name. I just hope this tour will go well and hopefully some day Tom will be back.

Am I the only one who's utterly conflicted by this?.... In more ways than one. I'm taking a cautious, post-Covid- vaccine, approach to returning to the mosh. I've managed to avoid the temptation of booking 4 or 5 gigs with favourite artists of mine who've announced 2021 tours, with a view to seeing what the fallout looks like maybe in the new year. I'm not sure I can do the same for these gigs. Despite my reservations about Serge fronting, I'm drawn to the gig experience of this band like no other. I do wonder how different an experience it'll be without Tom. Guess I'll have to buy the ticket insurance this time, and go find out. |

I love Serge's voice and Serge's everything and I still don't want him to sing songs like Fire or LSF because they weren't meant to be sung by him. Yeah he wrote them, but listen to Sky Arts Songbook. He doesn't even want to sing Fire. Someone on Facebook said this might be cool if it was an acoustic tour or completely new material, but they're already promising the hits. I have no idea if they're more likely to play things like All Through The Night now, or if they're just going to cling to the old tried and trusted setlist except we pretend Tom never existed.
Idk. I don't even want to touch this. My love for this band was so personal, I feel like they're woven into every part of me, so what happened last year was, to put it mildly, traumatic. And I've only just scabbed over and here they come, Heathcliffing at my window.

Really sad, sad times, and I have no idea how to manage with it. We have absolutely no idea how the situation will be with Covid-19 (at the moment border is not totally closed but still you can't come easily), plus I want to be cautious as well even if I'm fully vaccinated now. Outside of this, I agree with you concerning the songs and who sings it. That also means stuff like the wonderful Thick As Thieves are over. Heartbroken. When several people mentioned in this topic and the one about their future, for a while we didn't know how serious it could be even if I understand the complexity it is for everyone, and I was secretly hoping for a comeback after peace. When they announced Tom was kicked out the company I was devastated, and now we face this list and I think we are a lot trying to deal with our mixed feelings. |

Very mixed feelings today. I’m so confused. Usually when Kasabian announces a tour I get super excited. Now I’m excited, sad, happy, angry, hopeless and hopeful at the same time. It’s great to hear that Kasabian is not
completely over yet. This is better than nothing, isn’t it? I miss them so much I definitely want to see them live, but without Tom still under the same name and using their old logo? All old Instagram photos deleted... I don’t know. Difficult times. And all those people who said it’s good that Tom got kicked out now commenting again and wanting him back.
