Does anyone feel the timing is a bit rushed? Even High Flying Birds didn't go toe to toe with Beady Eye. Hopefully they won't be any badmouthing.

I don't know if it's deliberate. He's been working on music for at least a year, it would have been ready eventually. He's been teasing it for weeks. Would he have known they were dropping a song today? Usually new music comes out on Fridays. Surprise release on a Wednesday is very random. If anything it seems more like Kasabian rushed theirs to not coincide with him.

Promotion for this song started on the first date of the tour, definitely not a coincidence. Bad taste and nasty! |

Well it's midnight and I can't find anything on Spotify. There are two Tom Meighan artist profiles there, one has a song with SuperEvolver, and another one with Idris Elba. So it's either UK midnight or some other specific time of day.

He has two more profiles for Thomas Meighan from other collabs. There will probably be another new one. Kasabian at least already had a page to refresh. I constantly listen to new albums at midnight CET perfectly fine and these guys just turn up and choose chaos. |

Yes but in my experience most Friday releases just show up at midnight wherever you are, not based on the artist's timezone. I definitely listened to FCOL at midnight. I've seen very high profile releases get a specific time to prevent leaks but I'm not sure if this is one. |
