According to Q Magazine the album is coming out in autumn, and they also mention a couple of song titles: - You're In Love With A Psycho - 24/7 - Comeback Kid - Put Your Life On It - Good Fight - All Through The Night

It's so good to have a proper confirmation about the album, because they were all so vague about it recently. But maybe they had new ideas and feel more determined after the gigs. I love that it'll be more guitar-heavy, and Tim can show off. The song descriptions sound so exciting but they give no indication really what the whole album will sound like. The Beatles, Bowie, garage rock, sleeazy groves, punk mariachi - can be anything? Also any theories about the album name? highroyds and I have just been discussing the possibility of it having a furniture-themed title. The Chair Album? Comes with a free folding chair for gig queues.

Now this is probably going to show up on Twitter tomorrow as a serious rumour. I wonder why they did this interview and played a bunch of songs to Q, and three weeks later they told NME that they had nothing concrete, just some ideas. This is why I have trust issues.

So, is August a realistic time frame for the first single?

I am wondering if they gonna do all the usual album touring (UK, Italy, Germany ... ) this year then or early next year. Or UK this year and others next year...

So, is August a realistic time frame for the first single? No idea, depends on what they mean by autumn. Velociraptor came out in September and they were touring and had a song out in early June. Makes me think this one will either be out later, or things could be happening very fast now. It's a bit confusing anyway because they're not sticking to the usual pattern. They're probably more free to do it at their own pace this time because they completely skipped the festival season, so there was no pressure to have something out by June, or whenever.

I was thinking more about Muse who had their singles out at July/August whenever the album was out in October.
