I'm worried that it will get pushed back to next year's festival season if they take much longer.

TBF WRPLA was ready for a March release but got delayed until June... If Serge wants to put it out in March the label will listen, I am not worried about it. Safe to say the fall is a goner.

I read that FIFA 17 soundtrack features 'a Kasabian song'. It didn't tell whether it's a new one but including Club Foot or Underdog again makes no sense I think. Btw the game is out at the end of September

Btw the game is out at the end of September Which means we will get the soundtrack by the end of next week. Makes perfect sense that it's Underdog, considering the whole Leicester link and all, if it ain't that then my money is on a studio version of Put Your Life On It, which would be nice I guess.

I think it might be Stevie. Would make a very good football soundtrack.

Anyway speaking about Kasabian and FIFA....
Does anybody have the full version of that? Sounds like it's the Jacknife Lee version of LSF.

I think the fact that the first new song we're going to hear (studio version at least), is on FIFA means that the album was meant to have been released, or at least announced by now. It would have made more sense, because I'm sure this wouldn't have been the way they wanted to "unveil" new music. So maybe the album was pushed back, but then it was impossible to cancel the agreement with FIFA, so here we are... I hope I'm wrong though.

I don't even mind waiting, I just mind being mislead and kept in the dark like this. It probably sounds entitled, I know they don't owe me anything, but I think it's kind of disrespectful to put it out there that it's coming out in autumn and then it's not, and nobody gives a shit that we're expecting an announcement any second now, that we're planning our holidays around a tour that's not going to happen. They could just post something on Facebook, say "I know we said autumn but it's taking a bit longer, sorry" and that would be fine. We're still incredibly lucky, some other bands take 5 years or longer between albums. But I guess there's never any direct feedback for the social-media-phobes. I really hope CK is coming out, if it's in the game it means the song is finished, there's no reason not to release it for everyone at the same time. I hope ellesf is right and it happened sort of by accident and they're not selling their integrity. It doesn't look like they're working right now either. I don't know what they're doing of course, but usually when they're recording they sort of go off the radar, and these days all I see on Instagram is Tom and Serge shopping in London, going to celebrity weddings, Chris playing football for charity, Ian and Gary playing with other people, and Tim found other things to do as well I guess. It looks like a lot of free time. And if they WANT some free time after touring relentlessly for 12 years, that's okay! Of course it is. But don't tell the biggest music magazine in the country that the album is coming within the next 3 months and leave us hanging.
