New album is better than first one - really liking Riverman, The Girl With X-Ray Eyes and The Mexican so far.
Quite a good mix of up tempo like Lock All The Doors and Oasis b side type stuff.
A mate was at Belfast gig last night and said it was superb. He played 22 songs too which is good value.

Still haven't gotten around to procuring the album. Is it vastly different to the first?

Getting ready for next week gig, still 7 days to go! I wish I'd managed to get tickets to see them at Glasgow. Hope your family all enjoy the gig. My wife and me have taken our son to see The View a couple times. We're taking him again at end of the month to see them at Barrowland in Glasgow. Sent from my HTC One using proboards

I also already like it much more than the first one, which I unfortunately still find horribly boring to listen through.
This one has much more life in it. So far, my favorites are "Ballad of the Mighty I" and "Freaky Teeth".

I've read his set is only 90 minutes but coming from NME who knows.Im hoping he will do Champagne Supernova at Calling Festival that's the only one that nearly bought me a ticket this week but I'm not spending out just for that song.Ive only listened to this album a couple of times but I prefer it to the first. But going back to the tour why open up with Stranded .... ?

Thanks, I hope all will be great! it's sad you don't have tickets, but I will try to post some pictures next week afterwards (I'll do my best, as I'm sure I'm not as good as Highroyds!) How old is your son? He seems to be enjoying going to gigs

Yes, why open up with Stranded, and why close with The Masterplan??? It's a great song but I find it really sad, so closing with a sad song...I would have hoped for something more cheerful! If the set is 90 minutes, it is the same timing we had with Kasabian in Paris last November, so it is not that bad! And Champagne Supernova seems to be on the arena setlist for the moment, so I hope he'll play it for you when you're going to see him

I think it was in the NME, they were saying in an interview that they are planning gigs around the country prior to Hyde Park (Wales, Scotland and England...), sadly nothing for France I'm afraid

I saw something about a tour at end of next year as a rumour.
