Apparently the album jumped from 47 to 35 this week. Christmas presents effect probably?

The Empire single was certified silver in March.

Does anybody have an idea about the current sale figures of the album? Wondering how close it is to going platinum.

Does anybody have an idea about the current sale figures of the album? Wondering how close it is to going platinum. Which one, 48:13? It was gold really quickly, less than a month after the release. Velociraptor went platinum after about two years. I don't think there's any way of seeing the current sales, it just gets updated once it does reach platinum. I'm not sure if the deluxe edition counts into it or if it's considered a separate release, does anyone know?

I guess it should be pretty close, all I know it sold about 220K in 2014. As a pure guesswork, I'd imagine the sale figures are about 270-280K right now. 60K at 18 months sounds about right. Let's hope LP 6 will bring another wave of sells to push it to platinum. Will be very interesting to see how LP 6 sells, if it goes platinum within a year of its release it will be a good achievement. And Velociraptor took about 4 months to go platinum, it sold 279K in 2011 alone and went platinum at January 2012, It just took the lazy bums at the BPI a long time to update it.

Where are you getting these from? I always assumed the info on BPI is correct, it's all over the wiki, meh.

Also - www.officialcharts.com/artist/7107/kasabian/Here there is a detail about the Chart run of each album, looks like 48:13's numbers are pretty much purely down to the general decline of album sales, considering it has an advantage over Velociraptor in weeks at the top 10, weeks at the top 20, weeks at the top 40, weeks at the top 75, and weeks at the top 100. It'd probably sell half a million had it came out 3 years earlier.

Hopefully Radio play will help it. Edit: 35 in the sales chartEdit 2: For the sake of comparison, Muse didn't really do any better 2 years ago. (71 in the "real" chart and 45 in the sales one)

Right, what's the other chart then, only streams? Which one counts?

Right, what's the other chart then, only streams? Which one counts? Counts both, which is why Ed Sheeran has the top 10 virtually for himself, and why it's way less dynamic.

Fire was certified platinum, according to BPI.
