Probably one of the biggest influences of their time. P.S. - A huge amount of respect to Syd Barrett. One of the best songwriters. A troubled genius. ♡

Pink Floyd is one of my top favourites. And also my first favourite rock band.

What are your favourite albums? Well, this is the right way to put this question;)) Because with Pink Floyd it is never only one album. My favourites are Meddle (in the first place because of Echos), The Division Bell and Wish You Were Here. But it is a thin line, because i can name another 5 albums, that could be favourites. And what are your favourites? I bet you will name other albums;)

My 3 favourites are The Dark Side, The Wall and Wish You Were Here. The Wall used to be my favourite but I appreciate the depth of The Dark Side more and more recently. And Wish You is just genius, isn't it? Every track there is perfect.
I love Meddle too for exactly the same reason - Echoes.

Ummagumma, ah, fond memories. It was actually the first stuff I listened to. (Was searching for 'Umaga' and ended up with their album). Then I wanted more of it, so all others. Concept wise, I like 'The Wall' the most

Which is your favourite song? Mine is 'Comfortably Numb'. It's like totally brain - twitching with someone. Love the guitar solos as well

So the new album - The Endless River - is on November 10th. I already dislike the title and the cover and I'm a bit suspicious of a 4-sided instrumental album. Or to be honest, I'm suspicious of anything without Roger.

This new album is mostly made of leftovers from Division Bell - according to the rumours. That means something ambient, like Soundscape. Division Bell is in top 3 of my favourite Pink Floyd albums, but i am not sure what to expect from the ambient material. I guess we will find out prety soon. And of course they would not be Pink Floyd, if they repeated themselves.

I've just started listening to the new album, halfway through the first track. Very beautiful, very emotional and sounds totally like Shine On. jayfreeman I was wondering what you think about it
