For all the people who enjoy participating in Record Store day, this blog is the best around, it gets updated fequently and always before anywhere else, so keep an eye on it and start making those lists ready for April 19th. I personally can't believe it's come around so quick again, time to start putting a few pennies away I think Record Store Day Blog

To be honest, I wasn't expecting one, there was no mention on the unofficial list. Would have been nice to get a nice little 2 Track 10" teaser from the new album though, there's always next year

Considering they've never done it and the one time they were supposed to someone fucked it up again (as usual lol) I don't expect anything in general. Even if they had been on that list today, never ever get your hopes up.

So after constantly missing out seeing The Editors due to one thing or another ,finally Ive seen Tom Smith.Being bout 6th in queue least Id knew id get a decent view and yep 2nd row.He joked he was a bit worse for wear but with the performance he gave he sounded amazing .He done about 6 songs and was going to do Blood but couldn't remember the first line and he was asking if anyone knew it .He sang Papilion ,it sounded so different acoustically and I'm not afraid to say it ,I was welling up.I bought a ticket to this last minute after having it in my basket then letting it go but I'm so pleased now I went for it.They were signing the CDs at the end so with now having 2 copies least one is signed. Outside while queuing xfm were going along and asking people if they wanted to buy the limited XFM release for a donation so my rsd purchases has already started. And maybe we might get a Kasabian release but I'm not holding my breath. The closest was Loose Tapestries. Oh and Dan O Connell is very nice in the flesh.

No,I just checked .We knew it was only a 6 song performance. So what records do people like the look of?. As I said I'm really intending only to get the bare minimum as I need the money for my holiday I'm only really looking at Temples,Oasis,Kodaline,Frightened Rabbit maybe Bowie and Catfish and the Bottlemen. With the latter I've noticed that Kathleen is already on their website with the same description so that's a bit strange.I do fancy Holy Fire Albert Hall but that's a US release. So a pretty few wants this year luckily.

I like the shaping up quote. I don't know whether to do the 415 start but I suspect the Oasis will be in demand as well as Temples. For the novelty value I like the Tenpole Tudor .I loved that song when I was a kid .But even now as you know different titles are still getting added.

Ive have whittled my list down for Saturday so its a real short one this year. Oasis Supersonic Nirvana Penny Royal Tea Temples ..shelter song David Bowie Rock and roll suicide. Foal Royal Albert Hall. With Foals ive been told it will be late ,so it might not be in and ive ordered Catfish and the bottlemen from their website so that should be with me pretty soon.I know that im pretty much definitely be in luck with Oasis, its just the Bowie and Nirvana ones that may go pretty quickly. Also it was a friends birthday this month and I haven't got round to getting him anything yet so as he likes his vinyl im going to try and get him either the Bruce Springsteen one or The Rolling Stones.

That's short and sweet for you this year. I think you should be ok with most of those on your list, I think there'll be plenty of Nirvana (the numbers were pretty high on that one I believe) So what time you queueing this year? I'm going for about 4.15am, pretty much the same as last year, it seemed to work pretty well. I've also added the Pixies to my list, but that's it, mind you I think that's more than enough. Have good fun and let me know how you get on.
