Good luck with the REM they are one of the hot favourites this year but even I have faith in you that you will get your hands on one.I was going to queue up a bit later this year then found out that the shop haven't really got a lot of the Nirvana so I don't know now really if it's going to be pre 5 or 6.Most people roll up around 6 but the thought of getting up at 315 is a bit ,well you know what I mean and I just hope the car starts as its a bit temperamental at the moment.Good luck with this years haul and here's hoping that there's not too many people already queueing by the time we get there.

Record store day over for another year.I got there same time as last year 4.10am and the queue seemed to be longer as I was further back and I was 60th as someone did count but dread to think what next year will be like as at 6.30 am the queue was normally what it should be like around 8ish.Got all what I wanted and luckily I did get Catfish and Bottlemen from their site as it was one of the 1st to go.Foals is expected next week and I fancied Blancmange and that's still yet to come in .So I got
Oasis Supersonic
Nirvana. Pennyroyal tea
Temples
David Bowie
And ghostbusters .I can't wait til it gets dark to see it glow.
So a nice short list this year but no doubt in the next week or so a few more will be added.

Excellent work, I can't believe at 4.10am there were that many people in the queue, that's nuts. You got some good stuff there, I seen a few people with the ghostbusters one this morning, it seemed to be flying off the shelves. I'm also waiting for the Foals one to complete my haul this year, I got everything else I wanted, the only change I made to my list was to drop the Beach Boys and pick up the Pixies instead. To summarise, it was a fab morning catching up with people in the queue again (most the same from last year), the 4 hour wait goes over pretty quick with great banter. Highlight for me was meeting a fellow Maximo Park fan who like myself is a big collector of the band, it was great to swap stories and finally put a face to the name. |

That's the thing about these events that you get to meet fellow avid collectors and loving the same bands.

I got there just after 4.30, 11 people were in front of me, same old faces from previous years. I saw it was in but ..I don't really know now with Kasabians album to be on pre-order soon and ive yet to order Oasis Definitely Maybe and possibly Klaxons, with all the other boring stuff such as car tax, hotel for Leicester etc im going to wait I think .Ive seen on ebay that from the US its exactly the same price including shipping .And if I remember rightly last years Foals rsd didn't sell out straight away from Banquet.
Also don't you think Holy Fire is getting milked a bit.The 2 vinyl ,cd, cd-dvd and I know this years is RAH but still Holy Fire tracks and £25 for 8 songs im really still trying to justify that I don't need to buy it and I was there at the RAH evening show as well. Who knows but if I do buy it eventually il let you know.
Im holding off tonights sale at Banquet the site is always down for a good 2 hours anyway and I think after last week we have lost enough sleep due to RSD.
