I had to decide between Thick As Thieves and Vlad the Impaler. Thick As Thieves won. I love Thick As Thieves, mainly because of the sentiment behind it. But as always, beautifully written lyrics by Serge and the combination of Tom's main vocal and Serge's secondary vocal is perfection. And for Christ's sake people, it's " I gave you all your scars but you gave me mine"  hahaha |

I think someone originally tried to transcribe the lyrics after they played it for the first time at the Little Noise Sessions and there were only some poor quality recordings on YouTube, and that version is still being spread across lyrics sites. The last time I pointed out to someone that it's one of the only lines actually printed in the album sleeve they called me stupid because "everyone KNOWS there are no lyrics in the sleeve." |

That's a tough one, I had to decide between "Where did all the love go", "Fast fuse" and "Take aim". I picked "Fast fuse" because of its power and energy. I once read that Sergio said that he could never sing that song because only Tom has the attitude it needs and I guess I like that idea.

I love all songs, really
But I chose "Vlad The Impaler" because of lyrics, energy and one moment - if in future I will make a movie, I'll put this song in action scene and it will make great atmosphere.
And, also I love go to work with "Vlad" in my player when I'm late, it makes me go faster :>

Does anybody know the improvised lyrics to Swarfiga? I think they change all the time and he just makes them up. I've heard so many different versions. My personal favourite is this from Berlin 2010, with a line 'when you see them you'll know what to do'. |
