A second date has been added. I think one thread for both gigs will be enough, since they're not the headliners anyway.

Was at Knebworth yesterday, Kasabian were great and got the crowd going. Played the hits and SCRIPTVRE. I think Tom’s vocals were missed in some songs but when everyone’s singing the classics you don’t notice as much.

Having seen Kasabian many times over the years, I saw them once again yesterday at Knebworth. Whilst Serge did a good job singing the old songs, I’m sad to say, I didn’t really enjoy them without Tom. I completely understand the reasons behind him having to leave but to me, what I saw was just not Kasabian.

As much as we all applaud them for trying to move on and do what they love, doing so under the same moniker just makes zero sense to me. I can't believe anyone that's followed them religiously from 2004 onwards can stomach this deep down.

When I found out what Tom did he was DEAD to me, that was that, but I’m loving seeing the new Kasabian. I think Serge is generally doing a mega job. For me Kasabian hit their peak in music and live shows in 2009 with West Ryder - since then I’ve found their albums and live shows haven’t matched up and found they were going stale (especially with FCOL which was their lowest point for me where I almost gave up on them!). But now I feel like the music sounds fresh and they feel fresh….I’m so glad there’s a new Kasabian!

I'm so into this. They should do things with female artists more often. Him and Little Simz was such a fun collab as well.

Many people have done far worse than him and been given second chances in life. Not that I'm condoning his actions in any shape or form. However, it's all too easy to 'cancel' someone these days. But I guess I look at that side of things more as my wife works in the Probation Service. I've never, ever doubted Serge's creative talents. I still firmly believe he's one of the best songwriters of his generation, but a rock'n'roll frontman he just aint. I admire those who want to continue blindly seeing the positives, but I can guarantee none of the new material will ever be as successful as their pre-FCOL era. Most fans will go to pogo about to Fire and mosh to Club Foot. They won't be going for Scriptvre or Alygatyr in 5-10 years time. I know this is the #1 Kasabian fan forum and I've been a member of it for years and years, but looking at the current setup through rose tinted specs just isn't for me. As a previous poster said, I'm happy cherishing the memories of Kasabian as they were. That'll be my last word on the whole charade.

As a previous poster said, I'm happy cherishing the memories of Kasabian as they were. That'll be my last word on the whole charade. When I said dead to me, I mean dead to me in terms of music and supporting him - I couldn’t care less what he does with his life but I won’t ever support it. He’s tainted all the old memories I have for Kasabian and made them feel uncomfortable. All he’s done since has actually more than proved what a scumbag he is anyway so I’m happy I made the correct decision. I’m not blindly seeing the positives or looking through rose tinted specs with Serge as a frontman….I am thoroughly enjoying it and I think he’s doing a great job (and so are a lot of people). Why would I continue to support them if I didn’t like it, what would be the point of that? Their gig in Bristol last year was the best I’ve seen them since 2009! I think he’ll only get better as time goes on, and I think the Knebworth gigs and the reception they got will give him the confidence to continue to thrive.

Saw them at Hampden yesterday and they were fantastic as always. Crowd were loving it, everyone was singing along and bouncing.
I do think that Tom is missed but they are still Kasbian with Serge, Chris and Ian being there. Bands evolve over time and naturally they're now going to sound different as a band.
I like the change in sound too and think this is something the band have always been great at doing.
Serge is a different kind of front man to Tom but has always had it in him. The pair of them were always up front anyway.
