So sad. He was a part of them. I was saying yesterday that I'm glad they put him on the FCOL cover. It's a nice thought that people will probably be listening to that album in 100 years and he'll be on there.

Sometimes laughing, sometimes puzzled by an issue, and sometimes teasing the crowd with the setlist in his hands. Good times. |

Rick was such an important part of the Kasabian family. I remember him from the very first gig I went in 2009. I didn’t know his name so I started to call him "Bilbo" in my mind. In 2017 there was a gig in Tallinn. Even though it was July, the weather was very cold. I remember him drinking hot tea onstage and talking to us fans in the first row while were waiting and freezing. He was such a warm-hearted gentleman all band members must be truly heartbroken.

I made a new thread.
I never friended him on Facebook but I know some people who did and he regularly chatted to them about all sorts of things. I guess I was always a bit intimidated by him - more his position as a protector of Kasabian rather than him as a real person. Something like that.
Once after a gig we were kind of loitering around the venue after the band had left and a group of kids was asking him for setlists. He disappeared and they left immediately. He came back with a big pile of setlists and other treasures, realised that they were gone, looked at me and just gave it all to me without saying a word. So that's my only Rick story, he was lovely.
