Now that the FCOL tour is over, what are your favourite memories from the past two years? How many gigs did you attend? Did anything special happen? What are your favourite live performances?
If you haven't seen them, have you watched any livestreams? Did you have a favourite? How do you think the new songs sound live?

Too many gigs, lot of them only for seeing friends (Italian summer shows, Brussels, Vienna). Some of them were quite nice though (Glasgow, Berlin, Dublin, Moscow, Madrid). For me this tour was the less interesting tour I have attended. Absolute lack of setlist changes. Can only laugh about "we have our band back" because they play 3 (not ultra rare) songs which they usually don't play these days. We have lost our band somewhere back in 2014/2015 in my opinion and I hope we will have them back after a longer break (2y?).
Sounds quite bad. In the end it's my own fault that I go to 20+ gigs per tour but it has never been that static and routined. It feels a bit like time is standing still since end of 2014. Couldn't imagine joining the fandom nowadays. Many more interesting bands out there at the moment.
They have it in their own hands to make things better again. It would be sooooo eez-eh. Just not changing the set every few weeks with 1 of the same 5 songs they use to rotate (when they have 5+1 brilliant albums to choose from.
Might sound a bit harsh but just my true feelings atm.

I think the "they're back" reaction came mostly after Halifax/TCT, when they played Acid Turkish Bath, Party Never Ends, a new Switchblade intro and Mothman for the first time in 8 years. I guess it was assumed that it would continue like that for the rest fo the tour. It's a shame that it didn't. I hope they realise that they need to do something about the setlist situation. But back to memories. I love that they finally played Acid Turkish Bath, even if I didn't see it live. I'm really grateful that people (mainly cuttoff and pip) recorded all those special moments. Here's ghost Serge in Berlin: Hearing Ill Ray live in April 2017, even if it did kind of ruin the studio version initially because it was just that good. They also came back to Hamburg exactly 8 years to the day I saw them for the first time. Fortunately not the same venue. Not tour related but FCOL related, we were recruited for the tear sticker promo campaign in early 2017 which included a tremendously awkward Skype call with Serge. Something to cherish.

Acid Turkish Bath was the best thing for me this tour and that incredible SBS intro which disappeared so quickly. Hearing PYLOI for the first time was amazing, getting to hear Action in Birmingham super special. Hearing Ill Ray from Jools on tiny speakers of my laptop late in the evening blew my mind just before the Forum gigs. This last Brixton was super special and I'm glad that it was my last gig of the tour. Also there was something special about Tom's voice this tour. I mean his voice is always gorgeous but this tour it was like the magical times of 2007-2008. But but but. It was a boring tour, boring setlists, the band being completely unaware of what we want and thinking if they replace Fire with Ovary Stripe once, they will lose the fandom. I hope they miss us during the break, and miss being exciting and come back differently. Also not strictly about the tour but what the hell went on this time with the singles? I wouldn't even know what's a single and what's not, and I think we'll never ever get a b-side or a remix or anything exciting with a release. I just looked up and there is a Cutt Off poster above my desk which says 'Cutt Off, New Single Our Now - 2 new tracks, mad action remix, plus live lounge versions of the prodigy's Out Of Space and Processed Beats'. (2 new tracks were the super gorgeous Beneficial Herbs and Pan Am, which nowadays is only remembered on Serge's t-shirts).

Hearing Ill Ray from Jools on tiny speakers of my laptop late in the evening blew my mind just before the Forum gigs. Oh yes! We forgot to watch it, you woke me up in the morning talking about a new song and I was like huh? and then we listened to it all the way to Newport.

Ill Ray was almost the only wow effect on this tour for me. + Acid Bath RAH and Action in Birmingham (cuttoff and myself having a party behind the sound desk, great night).

Fave venue - Taormina, simply because it was so unique and special. The crowd weren’t amazing though tbh and the band didn’t seem 100% up for it.
Saw them in Thetford Forest this year and they were well back to their best and the crowd were amazing
I’ve said it many times but I do think it’s high time they dropped Fire from the finale - I’m bored of it now and they have plenty of other songs which could take its place 💕

Saw them once on FCOL tour. It was that era's first festival gig, they brought their 'heart & tears' stage set up, not a simple cloth backdrop. It was one of the most physically difficult gigs I ever had. The crowd was crazy, someone even got hurt in the moshpit, so we helped that poor guy to get to the barrier for the festival stuff to address him to the ambulance. Later I found out he'd broken his leg. Setlist was quite nice and intense. Got to hear I.D. live which I'm really pleased with. Couple of eye contacts with Tom. Incredible gig. Super warm memories about the show and that trip to Croatia in general. But now they need to take a proper rest and stop being so boring.
P.S. Also, in one of the most recent interviews Tom said he's planning to release his solo record. So should we make a thread about it here?

Now that the FCOL tour is over, what are your favourite memories from the past two years?... Going to my first Kasabian overseas gig (excluding festival sets) in Berlin and meeting a couple of you crazy kids there. Felt like such a different vibe in the crowd. I liked it and I'll look at more European gigs for the next tour I think. My overriding memory was hearing Ill Ray on the Jules Holland show and thinking "Thank fuck.." 😊

If you haven't seen them, have you watched any livestreams? Did you have a favourite? How do you think the new songs sound live? Bit of a belated post, sorry. Six gigs: Southend, Forum, Reading acoustic, O2, RAH, Brixton. Plus a livestream or four. Second year was better than the first for me, previous albums it's tended to be the other way round. Really enjoyed the Forum but was actually glad I could only manage one night because it was the start of the Static Set List Problem. Then RAH was the real high point. Different songs but actually felt just more... natural. Some of 2017 felt a bit 'fake it to make it'. Which is not a terrible criticism, they were obviously trying incredibly hard but something wasn't quite as usual. Loved Bless This Acid House live, it's become a major singalong. Also loved PYLOI. Am not as enamoured of Ill Ray as a lot of other people seem to be. Was gutted not to get Good Fight live the whole tour. That would surely have been awesome. Adored the Switchblade Smiles intro at RAH. And Acid Turkish Bath, obvs. Reading acoustic convinced me NEVER to travel again. Not because of the gig, I was just too ill for too long afterwards. If I start making noises about travelling at all next tour (Southend doesn't count from where I live), someone please just slap me straight away.
