That was so wholesome. I missed just hearing them talk about their songs, making each other laugh, I missed Serge being all soft and whispery and not dicking around or putting on a weird voice. I feel like we got a lot of really stupid interviews during the past few years. Lauren Laverne did a great job. The acoustic session sounds stunning and the gig was almost the full set, they only cut Switchblade and Comeback Kid. Really nice, I didn't expect to enjoy it so much.

The acoustic session is amazing, you'd think that acoustic acoustic Underdog can't surprise you much after all these years but it's so different and soft with the strings. And Ben's piano sounds so gorgeous.

I just saw that this is available on iTunes outside the US for a limited time. Not sure if it's worldwide. I watched this couple weeks ago. It made me sad to watch Serge and Tom were still together back then, joking around and praising each other. Underdog with strings is the highlight for me. Goodbye kiss is wonderful but it hit different now. |
