For Crying Out Loud was released a year ago today! How do you feel about the album one year on? Has your opinion changed, do you like it more, do you like it less? What's your favourite song? (There's also a poll here ) Did you see Kasabian live on the FCOL tour so far? How do you like the new songs live?

Well, i think some songs were meant to be live (more than for the record). Especially Ill Ray and Bless this acid house are just perfect live.

Personally,I'm still enjoying the same stuff, nothing changed.I just had a secret hope for a b-side or two but I don't wanna be greedy:p

Still love FCOL and it's still in my top 3 of their albums. The only song I regularly skip is All through the Night.
Got to see them supporting it in Boston last September - they only performed a few off of it - Ill Ray, Bless this Acid House and Psycho. Would loved to have seen Wasted or Twenty Four Seven live.

I'd love to hear from some more people about this. I feel like opinions were quite divided on this album initially, more than any other.

I Still Love YILWAP (that was my impression when i first listened to it ) same With wasted (For me it should have been released as a single). Comeback kid, Bless this acid house and AYLFA are really good tracks.I adore the sound of sixteen blocks (it might be too long) I'm Ok with Party never ends, good fight, PYLOI, 24/7 and All through the night. If the part with the songs I'm Ok with were a bit different(better I don't really know ) it would have been a perfect album for me.Ill ray is a category on it's own am Loving the live version but I still hate the studio one I think its completely "soulless" if such word exists .Definitely a good album 7 or 8 out of 10, my least favorite kasabian one though.

This one was a strong contender for my new favorite album when it came out over 2 years ago. I still adore this album, but it's since moved down my rankings into my 4th favorite (I don't dislike any of their albums and I very rarely skip tracks). As someone else mentioned, there are a few songs that sound a bit soulless on the album but are almost impossibly good live (Ill Ray, Comeback Kid, Bless This Acid House) and a couple that are missing something to make them stand out more (Twentyfourseven, The Party Never Ends) But the other songs are some of the best in their catalogue so far. YILWAP fits the tone of the album to a T and is just lots of fun. Good Fight has that sweet almost Beatles-esque feel running thru it and features great restraint on the band's part to make music that feels new and yet an homage to the past all at once. Wasted is an absolute masterpiece that makes you wonder what took them so long to write. AYLFA is the chill, stoned out mirror to Treat that somehow manages to make disco the coolest, smoothest sound on Earth. All Through The Night and Sixteen Blocks are underrated gems and new sonic territory for Kasabian that I hope they explore a lot more of with album 7. And with Put Your Life On It, Kasbian now has 3 absolutely perfect ending songs that constantly fight for the best finale to an album I've heard. Hell, even the ones I wish were a little better are still excellent tracks that I always sing along to and pretty much never skip. Solid 8.5/10

How are we feeling on FCOL's 5th birthday?
I'm still kind of meh about the album and I don't even know why. The songs are good. YILWAP is the only one I don't like, Twentyfourseven is kind of average but I don't hate it. As an album it feels disjointed and weird. Everything around the release was weird.

For sure for me it’s their worst album, although it’s not that much worse than 48:13. I’m hoping the new album is a return to previous form 🤞🏼

For me they peaked during West Ryder/Velociraptor, as soon as Serge started producing alone they started to sound like this. I still love it a lot, but Dan's production made a big difference. Then again, they were never going to sound the same forever no matter who was producing it.

Velociraptor and Empire I love about equally, although Switchblade and Acid Turkish Bath are two of my favourite Kasabian songs (Switchblade is probably my ultimate fave).

Five year anniversary. Wow...
I think this album is underappreciated. It is at least twice as good as 48:13 and it's got a better structure than Empire. There are a few tracks that sound a little soulless, but for the most part this was a great return to form after the dullness of 48:13.
I will say it is nowhere near as good as the debut, West Ryder, or Velociraptor! though
