I remember reading an interview with Serge where he said something along the likes of - "A good musician plays his instrument and performs his craft. An artist knows how to shake the right hands at the right time."

Doesn't sound familiar to me and Google isn't helping either. The second half also doesn't really sound like Serge, if you know what I mean, he's always been really into that whole "artist mystique" and this sounds quite blasé, like a business deal? But I could be wrong, maybe he did say it. Hopefully someone else remembers it.
