I've said for ages they need to vary it up more. They also need to play a longer set too. 24 songs currently would mean an average of 4 from each album which I think would be good.
I miss the songs most from the debut, Switchblade Smiles and Where Did All The Love Go?
I love when they play a track I've not heard for ages or ever heard live. British Legion was a real treat in Glasgow.
On this album, I think they've not played enough of new album. I'd like to hear Good Fight. I wasn't that impressed with version of Wasted they played earlier when I seen them in Glasgow.
It's hard to get a balance to cater for all fans.

But yes, WDATLG and more songs from the debut would be so good. I'm up for Running Battle. And extremely happy they played I.D. in Zagreb this summer.

They played WDATLG at pretty much every single gig since 2009, they only stopped very recently. It's exactly the kind of song that I personally don't want to hear for a while so I don't start hating it.
But it's not really about individual songs that should or shouldn't be in the set according to our personal preferences. They should play every song occasionally. I can't believe this is the same band that once played an unreleased b-side as a set opener, that was awesome, and now they're like "but we can't change anything ever, wah wah"
I was hoping we would hear more of the debut album after they rehearsed it all for iTunes, but apart from one single U Boat there was nothing.

It's such a shame that they've recorded so many songs that it seems won't ever get an airing live even once. Not the old ones. The new ones. Again, proviso - they're still great. I still love them. They're just even greater than the current sets are allowing them to show.

Mothman pre-single release would that be? Had a feeling this article would provoke some debate! Definitely feels like a particularly unadventurous year for setlists. Maybe they'll get a feeling of the reaction to those comments and put that into practice in 2018.

Sergio browsing this very forum seems very unlikely to me despite they know that we exist : )

What b-side are you talking about? Mothman pre-single release would that be? Yes, it was Mothman. They opened with it on 23 October 2009 and the single was released a few days later, nobody had heard it. I thought that was so cool.

They became so unadventurous with the setlist that I was genuinely shocked this morning to realise they played Fast Fuse in Dublin yesterday - and it's one of their bigger songs and has been played so many times. I'm going to see them both this Friday and Saturday in London and there will be 4 people with me who are all completely or fairy new to Kasabian, and I'm sure they'll love and enjoy the setlist. But I wish they'd do something special, like a new song or a rarely played old one. I think we all agree and understand they have to play the big hits, as they are hits for a reason and universally loved - but I'm sure absolutely nothing will happen if they replace Shoot the Runner with Silver Bullet once in a while, or - like it was suggested to play 2-3 extra songs which are not high-energy monsters like Vlad.

Totally agree with Dave Grohl's stance that any band that has been around for over 10 years, and has an active and loyal following, should be playing 2hr sets.
As others have said on here, that gives scope to throw in 3 or 4 more songs and play some rarities.
I wonder if the band have ever been asked why they haven't elongated their set.

I wonder if the band have ever been asked why they haven't elongated their set. I'm not sure about anyone specifically asking in an interview, because I suppose most journalists would be quite happy with the set, but I do remember them repeatedly going on about Bruce Springsteen and Paul McCartney's very long sets a few years ago and oh my god how do they do it, we could never, nobody wants to see that. As for asking the band directly, I have personally spoken to a few members, but usually about certain songs, not about the length of the set in general. And then I was wistfully telling them that I'd love to hear Acid Turkish Bath, and Tim was wistfully replying that he'd love to play Road Kill Cafe and 55, and Gary wants Doberman back, so that's all a bit futile.

Post-gig setlist analysis Loved the gig last night but still found it mildly uninspiring in a "that was great but once was enough" kind of way. If I was someone who loves British Legion and 24/7, I might have thought a bit differently, I dunno. That I happen to not be keen on those two songs isn't really the band's fault.
