I am being stupid but how do you do this on here? Can't see any links. Have tried to copy and paste a photo but didn't work!

You need to host the picture somewhere else, like Imgur or Tinypic. Then you can click "insert image" on the full reply page (not quick reply) and paste the external link. You can also upload it as an attachment, but I'd prefer if that feature was used sparingly because we have very limited storage.
