In the current issue of Hot Press Tom mentions that he's got "loads of songs" and that he might do something after this tour and become the new James Blunt. I can't wait.

I will be over the moon if Tom releases a solo album  The more rocky, dramatical vibe fits him perfectly, as it was with Idris Elba's Sinner Man or The Lysergic Suite. And it would be lovely to hear some songs from him based on blues and soul. At the moment I can see Tom co-writing the album with a professional producer. I loved Idris Elba's album from the beginning to the end so Fred Cox could be a great choice, he is a brilliant musician and big fan of soul. |

In this new interview Tom says he wants to take a break after this tour and make a solo album. I've been wanting this for a really long time, and I've been saying for two years that they should take a break, but right now it feels a bit scary nonetheless. |

He was asked about it again at Liam's premiere yesterday and he said they'll make a new Kasabian album next year, so it doesn't look like we'll get anything solo Tom during this break.

In the latest Football Forum episode Tom only said that he wrote his own music. There were no details, unfortunately.
