Well, we know FCOL's cover, which means now we can rank our favourite covers!
Well, my ranking is:
1. WRPLA (The only one to feature the band on the cover, and it set the mood for the album perfectly) 2. The debut (The masked man looks awesome, and it's somewhat iconic to this fandom) 3. Velociraptor (Screaming Serge looks cool) 4. Empire (It looks OK I guess, although not my favourite) 5. FCOL (No offence to Rick, but I don't really like this cover) 6. 48:13 (The less said, the better, cover looks like it was designed is 3 seconds)

Great thread idea! Velociraptor actually features the band. But nobody realises, everyone still thinks it's 4 Serges. That should have been the first red flag re: Aitor, the very first thing he did was turn the whole band into Serge. You can tell them apart by their noses. 1. West Ryder. I'm probably biased because it's my favourite album, so the cover kind of respresents that, but I think it's just really good, I love all the details. An effort was made. 2. Kasabian, like you say, it's iconic. It wasn't even used that much and it still became their logo, it's still on all the t-shirts 13 years later. 3. Empire, I like the playing cards and the swirly stuff. I wish they had credited the artist, it's all by Paul-Émile Bécat. (Possibly nsfw link? There are some breasts.) 4. Velociraptor, I guess. I'm not super happy with it, but it's better than the next ones. And if we consider all the art and not only the cover image, I liked the feathers. 5. 48:13, because while it's pretty blah and uninspired, I kind of like that they made a bright pink album. 6. FCOL. I don't even mind though, I'm about a year past caring what it looks like, and if they're going to have anyone close to the band on the cover I'd rather have Rick than for example Noel Fielding, or whoever. I don't really truly hate any album cover. I hate the 48:13 single covers though, I have seen "final cover to be revealed" placeholders that were much more lovingly crafted than that.

My ranking is almost chronological
1. Kasabian. So iconic, so memorable. 2. West Ryder / Empire - the pretty ones (I like West Ryder cover a bit more because it's their faces but Empire is there too because it's got the prettiest single covers) 3. Raptor - the so-so one 44. 48:13 / FCOL - the weird ones (both maybe quirky or whatever but they're not beautiful things to have on vinyls and posters and hold in your hands like Empire for example and or anything with the masked man)

I really appreciate all the covers but here is my ranking
1 - Kasabian - As everyone said, the masked man is sooo iconic, i love it. Nothing can be more "Kasabian" 2 - West Ryder and Empire - they both have a real atmosphere and sense 3 - FCOL - Nobody seems to really like it but I do. I love the mix between b&w photo and drawing, not a big fan with the fonts used though 4 - Velociraptor! / 48:13 - What I really love in Velociraptor visual identity is the drawing on the CD, very graphic. For 48:13, I don't have much to say, i just love the pink color

3. Empire, I like the playing cards and the swirly stuff. I wish they had credited the artist, it's all by Paul-Émile Bécat. (Possibly nsfw link? There are some breasts.) I'm surprised they had the rights to use his drawings/paintings without crediting him

1) Empire - in that case really because I think it's the nicest, not because I adore the album, honestly! 2) WRPLA 3) Kasabian 4) For crying out loud - I did not find it particularly good, but since I've read the backstory, about them honoring one of their long faithfull roadies, I can appreciate it for this very nice gesture 5) 48:13 6) Velociraptor! - No idea why, but I really can't stand that!

Pretty much nailed my rankings and reasons here. I put 48:13 above FCOL because if looked at from afar, the 48:13 looks like an exclamation mark, which is just too perfect for that particular album. I definitely agree about the covers for the singles for 48:13. LAZY. I think I'm in the minority about the covers for FCOL's singles. I love them. Perfect for the fun tone of the album. Wish FCOL's actual album cover had as much inspiration behind it. Oh well. Maybe #7 will fix their downward design spiral
