Just heard that the promo was most likely not sold. What makes you think that? Most likely is not definitely.

I don't understand all the negativity around this album. Everything I've heard from it has me on the edge of my seat in anticipation! I can definitely see this making my top 3 favorite albums of theirs. For me, their album quality from worst to best goes 48:13, Empire, Kasabian, West Ryder, Velociraptor! I think the reason I'm so excited for this is it sounds like the proper follow up to West Ryder and Velociraptor! Right now, based on what I know about how their minds work and what I've heard, I believe this will be better than West Ryder just based on PYLOI being a much better closing song than Happiness. Hopefully, it will be even better than Velociraptor!, but that album took longer to reveal its majesty than West Ryder did, as I only time will tell I like what I've heard but I already kinda feel bored of them. PYLOI I've heard twice and it's just so 'run of the mill', kinda the same with Comeback Kid. Nothing really excites me about these songs. Hopefully the rest of the album will be much better with much more interesting things going on. I'm curious, what DO you want from them? What would excite you? (this isn't meant in a bad way, genuinely interested to know)

A few examples of Kasabian songs that really got me excited were Switchblade Smiles, Vlad, Treat, Fast Fuse, Underdog, to name a few. They sounded fresh and new. I can't really say that about the songs I've heard so far.

I don't mean to sound like I've given up on the album before it's even been released btw. I'm still super excited for the rest of the songs. It wouldn't surprise me if in a months time I'm praising it

Just heard that the promo was most likely not sold. What makes you think that? Most likely is not definitely. The listing wasn't removed because someone made an offer. But I suppose it's still possible that someone is going to buy it privately now it's known that it exists, that's why I said most likely. Anyway, I hope the seller will hold on to it until the album release.

From the new Q, some generic descriptions of the songs in the article saw the words catchy, singalong, off-license and fist-in-the-air-chorus and don't want to read the rest.

Although I see where you're coming from, I got that feeling from PYLOI, it felt fresh and new for me because its so different for them. I think and hope you will be praising the album once you hear it though, these few weeks of waiting aren't easy!

I love all of those songs too so I understand where you're coming from Vlad, but for me it's the more understated moments that really make or break their albums for me. Songs like "Me Plus One", "Secret Alphabets", "Acid Turkish Bath", "ID", etc. "Glass" and "Explodes" were my two favorite on 48:13 because of how restrained they were. Like they were actually trying to make music instead of catchy hits. For me, all 3 songs off of FCOL that I've heard thus far have that understated edge. Yes, even Comeback Kid in its own way. Mainly the part everyone here seems to dislike and has taken to calling "that mumbly bit". YILWAP has me thinking this one will have that Velociraptor! quality of growing on me and taking the top spot among my favorite albums. That song went from being "weird" to "interesting" to "fascinating" to "can't-start-the-day-without-hearing-it" after about 12 listens. It's now my favorite single they've put out. I can't wait to hear the studio cut of PYLOI (hopefully before the album drops) because the only thing holding that back right now is poor audio quality in the live recordings.

Ye, I love them songs too. I do feel like they try to make music for the lads sometimes, if ya know what I mean? It's not necessarily a bad thing, they know a lot of their fans are lads who love Club Foot etc.
