I never got in to them when they first came out. I've learned to appreciate them more with their later albums. Turner writes some fantastic lyrics.
My favourite album is AM.

It was exactly the opposite with me - loved the first two albums, sort of liked Humbug, and very indifferent to the last two.

I like the first 3 albums, meh towards SIAS and think AM is overrated as hell.

I think it's terrible. Just my opinion though, I still like their older stuff, and I don't care enough about them to be hugely disappointed.

Only one song grabbed my attention a bit, I thought everything else was awful. Looks like it was more or less universally disliked - did anyone like it?

I hoped it would grow on me. I've given it 5 run throughs. But there's little on there to get the juices flowing, and it's a crushing disappointment after their 5 year hiatus.
I've read the forums and seen the high brow debate about bands maturing and AT's right to artistic licence etc.
But ultimately its either a concept album or a pseudo solo project gone wrong.. in my opinion.
No wonder they put the tour on sale before the album dropped and there was no single before the tour tickets were sold out.
Glad they only seem to be putting 4 of the new songs in their setlists, seeing as I'm going to 3 of their gigs this year.
