Thought there would be a thread already for them.
20 years ago What's The Story (Morning Glory) ? came out. One of the first albums I got properly in to and still know all the words.
Definitely Maybe is better but their second album made them massive.
I'm maybe in minority but I don't think they should get back together.

Well, getting back together is probably impossible for them now. Noel has clearly moved on. Liam is still lost, but not in the mood to reunite.
My favourite album by the way is Standing on the shoulder of giants.

Any favourite song/s? Live Forever Slide Away Whatever Let There Be Love I love loads of their songs but tend to lean towards their debut the most. It was an album of a generation and gave a lot of people meaning as a teenager. It had swagger and total rock n roll attitude. Some of their B sides during the early period were unreal and would have featured on other bands albums. They were that good. What about you? |

While it would be nice to get a chance to see Oasis live, because I came way too late to the party (just two years ago!), I neither see it happen nor necessarily want it. But what I definitely want is seeing Liam come back to making music one day in whatever way he can because I loved Beady Eye and was heart-broken when they broke up. And that made me paranoid, Beady Eye was the first band I made the Munich trip for to see them live and when I did the same for Kasabian a year later, that was the weekend when Beady Eye broke up. So now I'm scared that Kasabian do something stupid, if I ever I go back to Munich for someone else ...
Anyway, favorite songs? From the top of my head:

So now I'm scared that Kasabian do something stupid, if I ever I go back to Munich for someone else ... Nah. They like each other. What would they be doing if they broke up? It's been a month since the end of the tour and they're already bored and desperate to get back into the studio. Also, last time I saw Kasabian in Munich the best thing ever happened, so I think it's safe.  I saw Oasis live only once, in 2009, with Liam on the brink of laryngitis. I was also quite late to the party, I always knew them but wouldn't have called myself a proper fan, and then the last 2 years before the split I was suddenly into them big time. I'd like to see Liam do something else, it would be interesting. But I kind of miss Gem and Andy too. I'm not really into Ride. |

That's not to say that I did not have a mind-blowingly excellent manic crazy lovely evening with Kasabian in Munich, of course.  And I, mere months before I badly fell for Oasis, still mentioned to everyone who was not interested that they are one of those once very successful bands that never did anything for me. Ah, well, so much for that. Gem maybe still has to recover from his horrible accident? He did come back rather quickly, in autumn 2013. |

Can't remember which interview it was, but Liam said in an interview that he called him up when he was putting together his live band, as he knew him from Beady Eye of course (and they apparently got on like a house on fire, I remember, in Munich, Liam fondling him on stage and Jay really enjoying that ) and as he was not doing anything he was happy to join him. So was I! Happy about that, I mean. Liam also said that his band is still getting to know each other, but what we can see from instagram etc. they seem to have fun. |
