Serge told Newsbeat that he isn't necessarily writing a song about the season but admits it's definitely inspiring their new material. "It's bound to in some way seep into the music you know," he tells Newsbeat. "In some ways because it has been such a big six months. "I'm in the studio at the moment experimenting. They're in the new NME but there's only a sentence about the next album. "Has he told you about the new album?" blurts out Meighan. "I'm not supposed to tell ya, but we've got some new songs and things ready for the future. This euphoria is bound to channel into it. We're in such a good place right now."

Would it be naïve of me to expect something for Christmas? They usually posted something, like an acoustic song or some random cover, but not always. I'm not expecting any kind of album announcement. But I hope I'm wrong, who knows.  They could have done an advent calendar with Neil's outtakes. Someone just commented on the playlist they posted that he's underwhelmed. I feel ya. |
