What are some songs that always get to you? Doesn't have to be because they have particularly sad lyrics, maybe they just make you emotional because you associate them with certain things, I know I have loads of those.
This was the first one that came to my mind, it kills me a bit, I don't even like listening to it. Some of the lyrics are from a book called The History of Love by Nicole Krauss, which is also pretty special.

Johnny Cash's "American IV: The man comes around", the whole record, really.
It is beautiful, but I don't listen to it very often, especially "I hung my head" is one I usually have to skip becauce I can hardly bear it. It's funny, because songs don't usually do that to me.

Imagine would get the vote as the saddest song for me. It's a song which offers hope but unfortunately the situation in the world hasn't really improved.
I believe we are one large nation and that differences in culture should be respected. There is far too much conflict and hate in the world. It's a sad situation. The rise of the internet and social media hasn't helped with some of the abuse you see on there. It's a worrying trend amongst the youth of today.
The greed of the upper classes doesn't help either as the rich get richer while the poor have to struggle. I live in hope that one day I will live in a fairer society but unfortunately I can't see it happen as countries continually go to war.

What you can do is just do your own part, and forget about the others. This makes much bigger impact that you would think. And about the song that would represent your feelings... somehow it is Stevie a little;) Als the whole Animals of Pink Floyd. I would also fancy Blinded by Rainbow by The Rolling Stones (one of my favourites of them by the way). And this beautiful song you probably do not know yet.

According to NME, Goodbye Kiss is sad. "Open you're eyes and what do you see? The last stand, let go of my hand" could be the most poignant thing Kasabian have ever written. They're in nostalgic mood, looking back to the rock 'n' roll days that sent them insane. You've still got a bit of life in you yet, lads!Somehow I'm not convinced Yes the lyrics are sort of sad but it can't be that heartbreaking with its cheerful dancey Latin rhythm.
