Found this little beauty on Youtube:
Which ignites the question, what happened to the Brixton DVD? Why hasn't it ever seen the light of the day save a few ultra rare promo copies? (Which add to the wondering) Would be nice to get it now, wouldn't it? Also, It's scary how young the band are here.

Nobody really knows why it wasn't released. It had a release date, NME even posted an article about it, and then it didn't happen. Nobody seems to remember if there was a proper announcement or explanation at the time, and the old forum is deleted. There's nothing mysterious about promo copies though, those are usually around a couple of months prior to an official release.

I know, but why get the promo out and not the real thing? Also, the label must have done quite well considering Kasabian sold out Japanese gigs with nobody knowing them basically, I'd say it's better than the job they do now!

They might have changed their mind about the release after the promos were out. Happened with the Switchblade Smiles single. Or, considering how few there seem to be, maybe they're internal copies.

Could be. The whole thing occurred to me because this documentary was supposed to be bonus material for Brixton. Also, why 55 never had official Studio release? The band must have liked enough to play it every gig back there.

Let's hope some day the old albums will be remastered and re-released with the Brixton show bonus DVD for "Kasabian" album. Btw, "Expanding The Empire - Japan 2004 documentary" is taken from >this japanese CD/DVD<
