I thought it would be interesting, because we all come from so many different places. Which languages do you speak? Are you learning any? Do you want to? If you're learning, how are you doing it?
My native language is German, I'm fluent in English (and prefer it to German), get by in French, bit of Spanish. I'm learning Hebrew at the moment, for no good reason. It's pretty and I've always wanted to.

My native language also is German and I (hope I) am fluent in English as well. I've learned French in school & university, but it's horribly rusty, because I have not used it since and I am trying to polish it up a bit by attending a conversation course once a week at the moment. I'm used to say that while I love French, it does not like me very much. I once tried to learn Russian, but I had to give it up because it would have needed more effort than I could bring into it. One day, maybe. Why Russian? I've always like the sound of it, no better reason. I think every language has its very own beauty, but I do have a very soft spot for English, because these days I hardly ever read any books but English ones. Runs in the family, my mother used to be an English teacher and also is an Anglophile.

My native language is English, and I've been learning Spanish and French in school (my Spanish is much better than my French though, the French teachers in my school don't teach very well)

My native language is French. I do speak a reasonably good English, I think , been reading exclusively books in English for quite a few years now. I used to be fluent in German too, but I should practice a lot more! I have learned Russian during several years, and I wish I would have time to take more courses to keep it up to date. Don't know if I would ever have time, but I'd love to learn Japanese and Italian. And I am very happy to see so many of you speak French, that's fantastic!

I only speak English unfortunately.
Should have continued French at school but only liked the speaking part of it.
I know basic French, a little Italian and Spanish.
My wife speaks native English and is fluent in French and German.
Sent from my SM-T310 using proboards
