What's your favourite opener and why? I added Bumblebeee for 48:13 too because Shiva is too tiny to compete with monsters like Club Foot or Empire.

Oh and mine is Let's Roll. It's so cinematic, so beautiful. I wish they'd start a gig one day with it, with the gong and the trumpet. #bringbackthegong
Underdog is amazing as well as an opener, probably my second choice. I'm glad Tom suggested to swap it with Silver Bullet which was going to be the first song initially.

Club Foot, it sets the tone not just for the album but the band in general.

Club Foot, it sets the tone not just for the album but the band in general. The same vote and the same reason.

There all pretty good, for me it boils down to Club Foot and Empire because I like the start with a BANG and, of course, Empire will almost always get my vote.

It's a close call between Club Foot and Let's Roll. I have a lot of feelings about Let's Roll, but Club Foot is probably the best opener ever. It was the biggest song they had until 2011, and it's a pretty ballsy introduction to any unsuspecting person who listened to the album.

We need more votes here, poor Underdog and Empire are very neglected, and nobody cares for Bumblebeee as an opener.

I listened to one of the 48:13 track by track interviews again recently, and Serge says that they intentionally made Shiva more quiet so you would turn up the volume, only to be hit around the head with Bumblebeee a second later. Love it.

Love it. That's actually genius. Still doesn't beat Let's Roll Just Like We Used To.

For me, it's a toss up between Underdog and (shiva)/bumblebee. I think I have to give it to Underdog simply because I only really appreciated bumblebee after listening through headphones. Underdog is enjoyable no matter how you choose to listen to it. But there is no denying bumblebee's powers when you play it through a good set of headphones!

Where's ill ray? The poll is from 2015. We should probably make a new thread, but the forum is so inactive lately, we might as well wait for the next album.
