I went to The Jon Brookes memorial last night ,and what a top night.For everyone who knows of LG vocals they are a bit hit and miss, more of the miss.But last night he certainly redemmed himself.Obviously the break has done him good after seeing the disaster of Ibiza rocks and T.They came out with Live forever and I was speechless,it was good to hear that voice in top form and reaching and keeping the notes and pulling not away from the mike .I just hope and pray that he will still sound as good at Hammersmith Apollo.

They done Columbia and just before The Charlatans came on to do the encore they done My sweet lord by the Beatles.Also it is still strange to see Jay playing with another band.
But one other highlight was Love will tear us apart with Tim Burgess on vocals.

About the only time I've really loved a DJ set not that I've heard many ,but was really hoping for them to do Galvanise .I just wanted to do the Push the button part.

I've just watched the Africa Galvanise video .Some parts were ok ,the whoop parts got on my nerves otherwise give me the original anytime.

Hi all - many of you may have seen the fans anger at the fiasco of presale and general sale tickets through ticketmaster this week. I was lucky and got 2 tickets at about 5.30pm on Wednesday - even though presale began at 10am. Within seconds, many tickets were on sale at up to 8 times the price on various websites including GetmeIn which happens to be linked to Ticketmaster!! Many fans missed out in the presale and sounds like much the same happened today. It's all very well when the demand is there, they sell out, you miss out - but to simply pass them on to other pages to make a profit is simply wrong. I've contacted Ticketmaster about it and just got a big standard reply. I also contacted Watchdog and Martin Lewis, consumer expert and am awaiting replies. Apparently the same thing happens a lot with Ticketmaster- anyone have experience of this? I really feel strongly about it, it's genuine music fans who are missing out x

I went on to get tickets through presale and never got them. It's a big rip off to boost album sales. The government should clamp down on touts but they don't. |

Well done on getting tickets Vinylmojo. I did too - but many people didn't. It really is wrong that tickets were 'sold out' and then put straight onto other sites at extortionate prices. The whole system needs to be regulated. Am going to do some googling when I get a chance and make official complaints. Us music fans need to stand up to the touts!!!
