The sooner someone burns Serge's collection of shirts, the better.
If someone breaks into his house and stole all of these shirts I'd consider him/her as a hero/heroine.

Sick of seeing Serge in the white tee and black stripe trousers. The novelty wore off ages ago.
No idea if the rigid faced audience also got to hear the film clip sound bites, but it was fucking annoying.
Tom looked over the moon at the end. Wonder eho he stuck his tongue out at...

No Tim or Gary but strings...dissappointing. Only the vocals were live, so there was no need for Tim, Ben and Gary to be there. |

I've been discussing this alot with my friends regarding the reactions the band got, everything from how Serge was dressed to the crowd reaction. I don't know. I honestly don't understand what people were expecting. As my friend put it, so eloquently, this was not a traditional Kasabian performance, nor was it an event centered on them or an award they were up for (as it would ahve been for the NMEs, etc). They were guests, and the theme of the ceremmony was the films nominated, so obviously that had to be featured in the performance. It was also a formal, black-tie event, so it would have been inappropriate for the audience to start dancing or waving their arms in the air. But if you look at the crowd shots there were a few people nodding along, clearing enjoying it. I thought it was hilarious that Serge wore a shirt that said 'black tie', and Tom wore sneakers with his beautiful suit. I don't know, I don't understand all the negativity, but to each his own. I loved it. They done me proud.
And for the record I don't mean 'negativity' from people just here, but all the posts and comments I've been reading on news items and the NME. etc. People seemed to jsut want to criticise them just for the sake of it.

I for one find his white t-shirts boring but the reaction to that has been so inadequate. It's everywhere. 90% of twitter called him a cunt, stupid fb page like LAD bible and buzzfeed made fun of him, Leicester Mercury is asking people to let them know what they think about it, they're leading all the fashion fail lists - you'd think he turned up in a dress made of newborn puppies' skin. It was just a t-shirt lol. There were people there with far worse outfits, I just saw Aitor's pic with Serge at the afterparty wearing something which looks like pip's queueing foil blankets. By the way sundaygirl look at Tom's shoes here - he changed them for the performance I think  |

LOL Tommy! I know, people's reaction the what Serge wore is absolutely OTT! God did you see some of the hideous gowns on show?  Terrible. People are so mean. I saw another photo of Serge wearing a lovely tuxedo jacket over his shirt. I dunno, I thought they looked fab. They are a rock band! They are supposed to break rules! And I am glad his tail is back! |

Oh yes he had a jacket on for the aftershow and a ridiculous necklace with white beads. highroyds was saying yesterday maybe he's not comfortable to perform in a jacket? Who cares really. I do moan about the t-shirts but like I said on tumblr earlier, he can wear whatever he wants as long as his music is this good. Bring on legwarmers and plaid skirts. Just saw this somewhere 'The rocker wore a unique, meta interpretation of the standard ‘black tie’ demanded of BAFTA guests, but was still let into Sunday night’s ceremony'. When you are as beautiful as Serge you can wear anything you want (and that goes for the rest of the band as well). The mere mortals who are insulting them do not have that luxury.
