I was listening to album earlier in the week and it got me thinking. Serge now takes lead vocals on as many songs as Tom. My wife thinks it shows that Serge has become more confident vocally.
Thoughts?

Tom still has one lead vocal more. But Serge has definitely become more confident vocally. Probably picked something up from Tom as well - for example, to me he sounds just like Tom in Explodes.

Serge vocals are stronger with each album.

When I was a new fan, I wasn't able to distinguish which vocal is Tom's and which is Sergio's. I do agree that with every succeeding album Sergio became more prominent. Although I seriously do not mind hearing some of the songs that were originally under Serge's to be covered by Tom. By saying I seriously do not mind I mean I desperately want to hear him sing some of them, Test Transmission and Acid Turkish Bath for example. Rain On My Soul is kinda short and isn't satisfying enough for me.

This album was interesting in that respect, that Serge sings on it as much as Tom. I really liked it, and I love how good and confident he sounds now. It certainly breaks the tradition of the previous albums of 2 Serge-only songs and 2-3 songs sang together. He's everywhere on 48:13.
But I would like the next album to have more Tom songs. Not that I don't appreciate Serge's voice but I miss big, beautiful, emotional Tom vocals.
