The first pic: (source)I assume it's going to be a mix of the Velocirpator visuals in pink and HRC, Summer Solstice and Glasto style words, only with a pink stage this time. I'm going to try very hard not to be disappointed and not to judge Aitor if it happens. Hopefully he'll surprise all of us and come up with something original and new. I'm sure the lights will be amazing though, they always are.

Serge says the London cunts backdrop was an error according to NME. Although I find it a bit hard to believe.

The phrase 'In a statement issued to NME' gives it away lol. Since when they are a band issuing statements, and to NME? They didn't issue a statement when gigs were cancelled or Jay was leaving or Tim was joining. The last time they issued a statement it was about Karloff.

Yeah that statement about Karloff happened about 7 months after he left the band. They probably forgot about him.
Did they receive any formal complaints about the London thing? I think literally zero people were offended by that. And nobody believes it was a mistake either. Surely someone would have noticed that it wasn't meant to be there, it was pretty hard to miss. HQ immediately posted a pic as well.

LOL about London, well sometimes the truth hurts doesn't it? The visuals look very nice indeed. (And BTW, which song had the London visuals?)

NME might want to try publishing the full list of tour dates too at the end of that article...

The Guardian and its readers take this far too seriously. By the way, the pic of that backdrop is gone from their official instagram.

I was refreshing Instagram the whole evening on Wednesday and I don't remember a single person who was outraged or offended. It also made it onto some American website in the meantime, where it first had to be discussed at length that the word cunt has different connotations in the UK. Fun times! I wish there was a video of Clouds so we could all check for that fictional moment Serge "noticed" the backdrop and was ever so shocked and appalled.
