I remember the day I heard this for the first time.
It was the day that Kasabian headlined Camden Crawl. The song and video was premiered on Channel 4 and was the first taster for WRPLA. I listened to it on the tv then went to the festival. Seeing them at Roundhouse was cool but I felt the London crowd didn't really get in to the gig as well as Glasgow crowd does.
Another great video.

You should come to Brixton, bumblejaybee, you might change your opinion about London crowds. On topic, Fire is my favourite song to listen on vinyl, it's so different, Tom's voice sounds like the sweetest most beautiful thing in the world. I love it live, especially when I don't have sit down and when it's not the last song.

Can you believe that this gorgeous thing is 6 years old? I love this vid although I'm still unsure what happens to Chris between falling off the stairs and then appearing in the trolley

I don't remember if we have talked about this before, but does anyone have the Fire promo that actually says Paradise53 on it? @crazyhorse69 frencheezeh ? The one I have doesn't have a number, and I've never seen a picture of one either. Does it exist at all or was that another case of a promo being assigned a number but they forgot to write it on the CD?

I have been searching my collection, and Paradise53 is one of the rare Paradise I still miss.
My copy of the Fire promo has a red cover, but doesn't have a number. It only says "For promo only, not for sale".
The Fire Paradise53 is listed on discogs, and some people seem to have it. Maybe we could ask the people who contributed on discogs to send us pictures?

Mine is without a paradise number too, and I don't think I've ever seen a copy for sale with a number. I used to message every seller on ebay who was selling a promo, checking whether it's the one, but have always been unsuccessful. Maybe it's just a myth and it doesn't exist?

Maybe they want some activity on the channel building up to the album so they uploaded something random.

I've been listening to some recordings from 2009 and I'm enjoying Fire so much more when it's not at the end. No endless singalongs, no sitting down, no reprises, just 4 minutes and done, perfect. It's such a good song, I resent being sick of it.

Agreed! Only saw them once, 3 years ago in DC at the 9:30 club, but I didn't like it as the closer then either. They just haven't figured out how to get the crowd into it like they do with LSF. I will never understand why they keep using it when it is fairly obvious they don't know what they want to do with it. Now if it were in the middle of a set, I could see it being magnificent
