Inspired by an off-hand comment Jay made in the Me Plus One thread, let's play Kasabian bingo! Which songs have you seen or "collected" along your gig travels? Two places that will refresh your memory could be here; kasabianontour.tumblr.com/fullgiglist or here; www.setlist.fm/setlists/kasabian-3d6bd5b.html if you prefer. I'll begin; I've taken in eight gigs and amassed; KASABIAN (11/13)Butcher Blues, Club Foot (9), Cutt Off (7), I.D. (4), L.S.F. (Lost Souls Forever) (9), Ovary Stripe, Processed Beats (5), Reason Is Treason (5), Running Battle, Test Transmission, U Boat *Pinch Roller was an intro tape, but can't really count that! EMPIRE (11/11)Apnoea (2), British Legion (3), By My Side (2), The Doberman (4), Empire (8), Last Trip (In Flight) (2), Me Plus One (4), Seek & Destroy, Shoot the Runner (8), Stuntman (6), Sun Rise Light Flies (2) WEST RYDER PAUPER LUNATIC ASYLUM (8/12)Fast Fuse (5), Fire (6), Take Aim (2), Thick as Thieves (5), Swarfiga (2), Underdog (6), Vlad the Impaler (6), Where Did All the Love Go? That was on the set for Glasgow in April 2005. I didn't know the b-sides at the time, so I had no idea what it was until years later when I saw some scans from an article written at the time. It had a wee collage that included the printed set.
I remember coming home and posting in the old, old official board about how much I enjoyed the show, and I recall some guy thinking that a snippet of Pan Am was included in there too, but I couldn't say for sure!

Haha, I was hoping to see some responses from the heavy hitters. Hopefully you can call in sick to work tomorrow and knuckle down.

I shall add to this later. Stats excite me. My only issue is they have played King Tuts. I was lucky enough to see them there once but can't remember which time. stannis do you have details of other bands who played at the gigs? One of the bands was a mate of a mates band.

No details about that far back to be honest. The digital trail is really detailed for certain random gigs, but others have got nothing on them whatsoever.
Do you remember if the debut album was out around the time of the gig? The September 2004 gig was the day after release. The February 2004 show would have only had 7 or 8 songs in the set.

That's so amazing though. I love The Duke, I wish it would come back one day and Pan Am too, it's so good live, can you even imagine how it would sound now. I wish we knew/remember more about 2004-2005 era, I don't remember the setlist of my first gig either, but I know they played longer than they were supposed to and based on the gigs around that date I suspect 55 and The Nightworkers were there too, so if I manage to sort out my song statistics, the first album rarer songs and b-sides will be a bit questionable. I will make a detailed list for my stats at some point too, will need a free couple of hours for that, but just had a look at my stats on setlist fm and my top songs are Empire, Shoot The Runner, Underdog and Vlad - I've seen them all 41 times. From rarer songs, I've been lucky to see all the lovely Little Noise covers, Secret Alphabets, Beanz and Pistols once.

The 'old, old official board' was a bit scary though. It's one my first Kasabian memories, remember the masked man slowly appearing on the screen and only then everything else would load. And all the hardcore movement people there...

And all the hardcore movement people there... I wish I a fan when the Movement meet-ups were on the go. There was an acoustic set in Fopp that got a police visit because they mistook all the masked man flags for something terrorism related.

I didn't see them live until 2009 despite knowing them since 2007, so this is all very West Ryder/Raptor-heavy. I wasn't travelling for anyone's gigs at the time, I was slightly too late for the 2007 German tour, and then they didn't come back for ages, so I had to wait. 29 gigs in total right now.
Kasabian (7/13)
Club Foot (28), Processed Beats (4), Reason is Treason (6), I.D. (21), L.S.F. (Lost Souls Forever) (27), Running Battle, Cutt Off (8)
Empire (7/11)
Empire (28), Shoot the Runner (28), Last Trip (In Flight), Me Plus One (2), Stuntman (10), British Legion, The Doberman (10)
West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum (10/12)
Underdog (29), Where Did All The Love Go (28), Swarfiga (6), Fast Fuse (25), Take Aim (25), Thick as Thieves (13), West Ryder Silver Bullet, Vlad the Impaler (28), Ladies and Gentlemen (Roll the Dice), Fire (29)
Velociraptor (10/11)
Let's Roll Just Like We Used To (3), Days Are Forgotten (18), Goodbye Kiss (14), La Fee Verte (8), Velociraptor (21), I Hear Voices (5), Re-Wired (18), Man of Simple Pleasures (3), Switchblade Smiles (22), Neon Noon
48:13 (6/13)
Shiva, Bumblebeee (3), Stevie (2), Treat (2), Eez-Eh (3), Bow
B-Sides
Beanz, Black Whistler, Julie & the Moth Man (5)
Covers
Everybody's Got To Learn Sometime (2), I Feel Love (6), Misirlou (16), Praise You (7)
I did hear them soundcheck Happiness with nought but a wooden door between me and the stage. They didn't play it at the actual gig later but it was the full song and it was lovely and I didn't have to share it with anyone. I also have the only known recording of Breakfast in America from another soundcheck. So I did hear those songs performed but it wasn't in a proper gig setting.
