This is the song I most want to hear again live. My only memory of hearing it live is gig at Carling Academy in Glasgow back in 2005. Unfortunately that night was ruined by an idiot who chucked a bottle on stage which hit Serge.
Love the song and think Serge sounds great on it.

If I'd heard the bottle story the night before, I'd have been bricking it that the gig would go ahead or not. It was during The Nightworker's too. I know it's a b-side, but enough to throw a bottle an hour into a set you've behaved for up until then? Did you go to the Academy gig in June 2009, the first week West Ryder was #1?

Yeah, it was a total nightmare. I took a bit of a panic attack too which wasn't nice. Aye, I was at that gig when WRPLA came out.

I figured that would see me for the West Ryder tour and didn't bother with the S.E.C.C. that year. Regretted it ever since. I did find Glasgow in 2011 a little rigid perhaps. Like Aitor had produced visuals for certain songs, so they felt duty bound to play them. The 48:13 tour seems a lot more freeing. On-topic, however. Test Transmission would suit the Me Plus One/Take Aim/bow slot rather nicely.

Test Transmission would suit the Me Plus One/Take Aim/bow slot rather nicely. I've seen them at all the SECC gigs. That one was particularly good the way that things were set up. After me saying they were predictable they've come up with a few surprises. I agree that would be a perfect place for Test Transmission. The tour looks like it will be obviously dominated by 48:13 but a lot of WRPLA being played. It's getting more difficult going to their gigs as there are even more songs that you're gutted they don't play.

One of my favourite things about Test Transmission is when Tom would join in and sing a bit of Rain On My Soul. I love it acoustic too, it's so pretty.

I have to say in all these years I've never left a gig disappointed because they didn't play a certain song. They have so many songs, they're bound to leave some off. My enjoyment of the experience doesn't hang on my hope for something they may or may not play. Otherwise I'd go home annoyed every single time they didn't play Happiness, which is literally every single time. There are some songs worth hoping for, like for example PB which is probably always going to come back, and others are just unlikely.

I still love their gigs but I sometimes wish they would play different songs. There are some songs I wouldn't be bothered about hearing live at expense of other ones I enjoy more.

Of course, but everyone feels that way, and it's just not possible to please everyone, because everyone likes different songs. I could do without Fire, Re-Wired, WDATLG... then there's my friend who saw them live for the first time in Berlin last month and thought Fire was the most amazing thing ever and the highlight of the set. People who want to hear the obscure b-sides or a set that's 50% Serge-sung ballads usually don't make up the majority of the crowd. The best thing they can do is try to mix it up a bit more, which is what they seem to be doing now and will hopefully keep up.

Yeah, I'm liking the fact they are mixing the set list up a bit more. It's great hearing a song live that they rarely play or have never played live before.
