So, does anyone here have this book? I heard it's quite informative about the band's earlier years and also contains quite a lot of information about the split from Karloff. Found it on eBay for 10 euros and debating within myself whether to buy or not so additional reviews are more than welcomed.

There's a lot about the early years, up until 2007. I heard that Chris has read it and apparently said it's "mostly true" so that's good to know. Nothing particularly shocking or revealing, and probably not that relevant to a casual fan, but if you want to get a bit in depth it's an interesting read. I don't recall a whole lot about Karloff in there that wasn't already public knowledge though. I think you can get it cheaper than €10, I see it on Amazon marketplace for €1.30 + shipping.

Chris autographed a copy for someone I know and wrote "Lies all lies!" So I don't know how accurate it is.

I read it and afterwards decided never again to read a book about a band from someone who is not in any way an "insider" because I had the feeling that I could have gotten all that information from the internet, reading old articles and interviews. The only thing I can remember that was quite interesting was the struggle to find the right drummer.

I want to re-read this sometime soon and was wondering if anyone would be interested in having a little group readalong?
