So the new album has officially been announced, i've been a fan for good while now and absolultey love their last album Waisting Light, I thought it was one of their strongest albums as a whole since they started making music. There's a whole host of options for buying the album, more in the USA store than the UK, it sounds like an amazing project, 8 songs all done in a different city with different guests etc. on the songs, and a HBO documentary to compliment each track. Sounds like a lot of thought gone into the music once again, and i'm looking forward to spinning this when I get my hands on it. UK Store Pre-OrdersUSA Store Pre-Orders

I did have the mega bundle on order, but by the time you add the shipping (about £40) then factor in that it's coming from the USA so you'll probably get stung for customs so thats another £35 ish to add on, it worked out very expensive so I cancelled mine. I see that they're signing random boxes now (that wasn't the case in the beginning), but it's still way too much money for an album, jigsaw and flag in a wooden box, almost 3 X the price of the last limited edition and everyone of those was signed. So after all that i'm just gonna buy the standard vinyl, i've decided to keep it nice and simple, plus i've spent far too much money lately. ps, i've got the Royal Blood album on pre order (the rough trade exclusive white version, unfortunately sold out now)

I saw the Rough Trade Royal Blood edition ,but with the holiday I had to pick and choose and I didn't bother with the white edition nor the special packages on their site instead I just went with the cd +ticket with Banquet records I haven't even listened to the stream yet. And also I had to pass on the Invictus gig but with the new album I'm sure a tour will get announced soon and I wouldn't be surprised if they do a small gig as they are over here ,possibly ITunes or Dingwalls. So maybe as they have started signing a few maybe with the higher price +taxes people never jumped on them so quick as the Wasting Light one.

Has anyone see the Foos yet up north? And what do you think of the amount of covers they are playing with the lack of SH songs.Im going to Wembley 20th June and hoping that they will at least play I am the River. But looking at the sets I doubt it very much.

I seen them at Sunderland. I lost a bit of interest when they played all the covers. My thoughts were they've got so many other great songs they could have played instead, 1 or 2 covers maximum would have been ideal. Overall though they were still outstanding, 2 and a half hours solid, well worth the money, Skin and Bones been a personal highlight for me.

I just don't get it with the amount of covers.Considering you might get to see them every 2-3 yrs your going to hear Foos stuff and yes with such an extensive catalogue theres just no need.l would of loved Subterranean as well but I might as well cross that off now.I can't wait for Wembley and I'm going to try and get myself a limited poster ,but least there's one thing you know considering covers that you are guaranteed and as you said a solid performance.

Don't panic if you don't manage to get a limited poster/print, a proportion of them are directly on sale from the artist direct (on sale after each show has taken place) Foo Fighters Poster

Finally saw the Foos on Saturday at MK and wasn't too sure how it would go with Dave in his throne but as ever they didn't disappoint and I suppose they sort of knew they had to go the extra mile.I was a bit apprehensive at the amount of covers they done pre broken leg so well happy when they just done Under Pressure with Taylor singing Roger T drumming and John P Jones ,Dave tried the high notes and it gave us a laugh as he failed miserabley.Where as some songs would go on a bit longer they just cut dead but bless Dave he gave it his all.I was really surprised when he asked for a request and DOA it was and considering it hasn't been played for a while and he had to ask the band if they remembered how it went ,it was probably the highlight of the show besides Dave trying to dance in his cast.It was a memorable gig but I will never ever go to the bowl again walking to and from the bowl nearly 7 miles I was knackered before I got there. And Royal Blood didn't impress me bar Out of the black but maybe because I'm used to seeing them in tiny venues. Didn't buy any merch there as the stall were just madness but I ordered the base ball top with Shiflett on the back and the pint glass from the pop up shop.

''Run'' and ''Sky is a neighborhood''are both very good and catchy.I wish the new album to be half as good as Wasting Light(the best Foo's releash by far.)

Did anyone watch the tribute concert tonight? I was doing fine until Brian May played fucking Love of My Life. How dare you. And then the entire Foo Fighters set just ugly sobbing.

I was lucky enough to get a ticket for this one - very emotional from start to finish, not a dry eye in the house, an experience like no other, and one i'll certainly remember for a very long time, so sad.

I think it's beautiful but some songs are really hard to listen to. I didn't expect the lyrics to be so direct.
