A thread for talking about tiny little details in the songs that you love, a drumbeat, a guitar riff, a random song snippet somewhere... Some of my random favourite moments are: -Tom singing 'like the last' bit with Serge in iTunes 07 Shoot The Runner -Tom in 2:00-2:20 here-Chris playing the LSF bassline during the singalong -The sound of the gong in Let's Roll -Smack My Bitch Up snippet in Vlad -When they start Goodbye Kiss with the drums -Serge's backing vocals in Days Are Forgotten chorus -Tom singing along to Ovary Stripe -Keyboards in acoustic LSF starting from 2012 -That first big drumbeat in ID

After the first chorus in L.S.F., the wee drum trigger led break before Tom goes "tah tah tee ahh", and Ian brings us back to the verse.
EDIT: Right, this is a great topic. Jay Mehler's little riff in the Re-Wired chorus that I'm glad Tim has kept alive
The synth intro to 55; I love the two chords and drum fill that cut into it before the verse begins. Great call to action.
During the I.D. verses, Jay has some really cool ghostly pedal tones for the small little lick in the second half of each verse.

At that NYE: Rewired gig, as Ben plays the slow piano intro to L.S.F., Tom sings along, "lah....lah lah lah...laaaah...laaaah. Magic.

Jay Mehler's little riff in the Re-Wired chorus that I'm glad Tim has kept alive I love Tim's bit in the middle. It was only Ben before, and it was always a bit feeble and lacking something, and now Tim plays it and it's so nice. I actually told him about it for some reason, that's why they can't drop the song, because it's my thing now. Serge singing Word Up in Re-Wired. He hasn't for about two years but everytime they play it I try to make it happen telepathically. Do the thing do it do it. Or Miss You, but he's only done that once that I know of. There's one acoustic Days Are Forgotten that they played on Triple J in October 2011 where Tom sings the "never ever forget" part properly for the only time ever. Usually he swallows the end and goes straight into the chorus, which bothers me a bit, but here he sings "forget" and there's a pause and then the chorus, it's perfect. I also love their voices together in the acoustic version in general. The last 30 seconds of Acid Turkish Bath. Or maybe the last 1:40, but I love Serge's angelic wailing at the end.

Really loved Karloff's unique pedal action. It didn't sound particularly guitary, but the fact he had strings to work with let him add all these textures and tones to the songs.
Some cheeky wee notes at the intro to Processed Beats too.

Serge's backing vocals here. He did it on and off since Italy 2012 and there's no good quality pro recording of it. Sorry for the shaky video, I was impaired by some excessive flagwaving on the right and pretty much only filmed the chorus and the outro for personal use. Serge singing the keyboard parts in acoustic Underdog (early 2009 versions) The new(ish) Underdog build up That bang in Switchblade Smiles after the bridge. Only works when you're there in person, it doesn't come across like that on live recordings, even on big expensive speakers. If the floor doesn't move I'm not interested. Drums during the first verse of Take Aim live

How about the drum beat during the Underdog breakdown live?

Make Serge sing Word Up one day. I love it too. Every little thing in Acid Turkish Bath is perfect, I'd give so much to hear it live. I love The Prodigy's Fire snippet in Underdog too. Fun fact I discovered today: Tom sings it too after Serge in Hackney.

"...wah, ooh...wah, ooh..."
When Pistols At Dawn comes back from it's Morricone freak-out.

I love the old Club Foot intro, like in here, it's so sinister and scary. Imagine hearing it for the first time and not knowing what to expect afterwards.

Just went through two posts up here. Just see how Sergio has transformed. Just see. My favourite moments
La Feé Verte at NYE Re-Wired; Sergio's voice is unbelievable Same with Crazy at Glastonbury. Take Aim at Glastonbury. The violins make you crazy. Similarly on Me Plus one.
