What's your favourite book? What are you currently reading? I've been reading a lot of non-fiction lately and finally got around to Tony McCarroll's book. Very entertaining, especially if you share his love for Noel, which I do.

Very entertaining, especially if you share his love for Noel, which I do. I have to ask, are you being sarcastic? Because I have read that book and as far as I can remember, there was not very much love for Noel inside there, als McCarroll blames him for, well, almost anything! I am sort of in between books at the moment, but the next one will be Morrissey's Autobiography, to which I am very much looking forward. The last one I read was David Cavanagh's "The Creation story" about that label. Brilliant book, that not only tells the story of the label and the bands, but of British Indie Music in the 80ies and 90ies and the Independent labels in general. I do read novels as well, but at the moment I am especially interested in music books.

I adore Oasis and their music changed my life, but I have major issues with some of the things Noel did and said. So even if what's in the book is slightly exaggerated (there's probably no way to know for sure) I find it a lot of fun to read. Morrissey's autobiography is on my list too. I ordered it a few months ago before a trip and thought I could start reading it on the plane... changed my mind when the book turned out to be the size of a small car.

I like reading books about "my" bands, but usually only those written by insiders, therefore, an ex bandmate is quite a treat, even if he as a bit of an agenda. And I am going on holidays on Fridays and this week is turning out a bit too stressfull for getting much reading done. I have read the first few pages and realized that this book needs a bit more calm to get into M.'s lovely way with words. Nothing for hasty reading.

I'm currently (and very slowly) reading Rushdie's The Ground Beneath Her Feet (and U2 fans here?).
I bought Donna Tartt's Goldfinch yesterday, hope it's as enjoyable as her first 2 books. Also I'm trying to get into the habit of listening to audiobooks because it probable saves you lots of time and am currently downloading a collection of Nabokov's stories.
My favourite book ever is 100 Years of Solitude of Marquez, I've never read anything as amazing. Two other books that I can reread all the time and never get tired of them are The Little Prince and Master and Margarita.

Aye. The Million Dollar Hotel soundtrack. I only downloaded that because my favourite character from Lost was in it. Bit of a shambles, if I recall.

Finished reading this interesting account called The Thiaouba Prophecy. It's about a man being abducted and taken to various planets and stuff, plus tips on living, and that money, religion, politics and news reporters are bad (side note - those reporters who think Serge be lead vocalist and Lost Soles Forever people)
Going onto read The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari by Robin Sharma. It's about a lawyer who gives up everything, materialistically, and goes onto live a sane life. Or something like that.

I still enjoy reading books about "my" bands, so at the moment it's "Pogue Mahone" by Carol Clerk. Wonderful occassion to also sink myself deep into musical Poguetry. I have loved them since way back, one of my first favorite bands, thanks to my big sister, who introduced them to me.

Very entertaining, especially if you share his love for Noel, which I do. Yeah I read that when it first came out a few years back. Yeah the stuff about Noel is interesting, I love the man's music, and he's funny as fuck... however if he doesn't like you it seems he can be a massive cunt.
