Have you tried John Frusciante solo? He is very different to RHCP of course, and it took me a while to let it kick in, but he is so brilliant. But if you try something do not start with the last album;)

His last album "PBX Funicular Intaglio Zone" is very much experimental and unorthodox. Which is ok of course, but the whole album is in IDM, not really John's style. And no guitars at all, while guitar is his second nature - he has been called reincarnation of Jimi Hendrix for that. You can start with a number of albums from 2001 to 2009. For example, - To Record Only Water in Ten Days (pshychedelic guitar rock with a little electro) - Shadows Collide with People (most convential of all his albums - pop/rock) - A Shere in the Heart of Silence (electronic Radiohead-like album, but better) - The Empyrean (a real masterpeace - esoteric space-rock)
I think one of these four albums will do the trick, and after that you can undertake the rest. I hope you will like him. Enjoy!

Kasabian is first love. Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Deep Purple, Gorillaz, Goat Of Mendes (I stumbled upon this cool Pagan folk/Death Metal band whilst searching for Eminem's G.O.A.T. LOL), Coldplay and The Killers. For individual artists, Eminem, Thom Yorke, Jake Bugg, Lykke Li, Fiona Apple, Rana Del Rey.

Arctics (and not just cos they're our hometown boys!), Muse, Black Keys, Prodigy, Reef, Audioslave, RHCP, The Music.
More recently Jake Bugg, Chase & Status, Tom Odell, Paolo Nutini.
And am now interested to see what Royal Blood produce when their album appears.

Does anybody like Underworld? Hmmm, are there people who do not like Underworld? Just listened to their first electro album the other day (no way i can pronounce the title).

I know that I'm about 200 years late but I'm just starting to appreciate them. What's your favourite song of them?
