I reckon bow will be the third single, with clouds being the fourth around the turn of the year.
Very Clockwork Orange to begin. Very cold and industrial before it BURSTS into colour with that riff. It's very cheeky and Kinks/Small Faces-esque. Brilliant. Never expected so many moments like this on the record.
And 3:38! A moment of clarity during the trip the sound depicts.

Definitely one of my favourite songs from the new album! I was really interested in this song after I first heard its sample and it's even better than I expected.

It's very cheeky and Kinks/Small Faces-esque. YES!! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks this. And 3:38! A moment of clarity during the trip the sound depicts. I love that little gasp at 3:37 I love the gasp too, and stannis that's the PERFECT way to describe it

It sounds like it could belong to Empire, it has the same sort of exciting mood like STR or Apnoea. I thought it's very glam rock at Abbey Road, but now I'm finding so many new things there too. Tom mentioned Bowie and Nirvana in relation to the song in an interview - if I'm not mistaken, Nirvana verses and Bowie chorus.

The double tracking on Tom's voice in the chorus is absolute ear porn. I love big, bold hooks like that. It's honey to the ear.
Some of the little synth elements sound a lot like the ones at the end of Underdog. Then the omnichord makes it's return. There's certainly an Empire vibe on this one. I wonder if this has been in the back pocket for a wee while.
According to the HMV interview, Serge overwrote for 48:13, so there's quite a few songs left off this one. Load up the singles with b-sides! clouds is a must-release.

I didn't like the sound of this at first when I listened to it on the album sampler, as it didn't really... flow with the rest of the album. Luckily, it's great. I love how it ends quite peacefully the eez-eh comes along and shoves it out of the way.

its an amazing tune, just love how it could be 3 tunes easy, then at the end it goes all daft punk madness!

Really like this song but not so keen on the spoken bit.
I can see it getting played along with WDATLG

While Doomsday recreates the American garage rock psychedelia of mid sixties, this one is its British counterpart. Everything is deeply rooted in the Swinging London sound of 66-67 (Small Faces, Marmalade, Floyd, Pretty Things)... ...and Serge and Co. cut this tasty musical cake and pass every slice thru an electronic mixer, add some loops and top it with an epic sound The "We rise above the clouds We rise above the clouds" bit is Cream's "I'm so glad" sung by Syd Barrett before going nuts... Kasabian here took where Kula Shaker left and succeeded in not sounding cheesy!!!

It's hit me. We've talked about an Empire vibe, and it's Sun Rise Light Flies that bears a lot of similar instrumentation and atmosphere.
Pair them together on the 2014 set please! If Me Plus One, The Doberman, British Legion and even Black Whistler get a revival, it's the turn of S/R/L/F!

Ughhhh I'd love to hear Sun Rise now, Serge would sound amazing now.
Going back Clouds, 3:30-4:10 bit is SO joyful, I'm going to listen to it every morning when it's cold and dark in the autumn. That little drumroll, the gasp and that gorgeous riff make me so happy.

To me Clouds has a little of Noel Gallagher / late Oasis feel. There has been a lot of talk about Kasabian and Oasis sound alike, but it is only the second Kasabian song that associates with Oasis (the first one is Goodbye Kiss).

I want this song to have a video. But I want it with a proper scenario, something like Fire's video, you know. Ok basically I don't want Aitor anywhere near this song, just bring back Wiz for it. A girl can dream...
