Surprised they were still doing Rewired on the Scottish ,Irish shows .Watching it back on the Radio one BW for me it's such a week song and it needs to be dropped. It just doesn't stand out I'd rather WDATLG stay then Rewired.

There is a small but very exciting interview with Serge in this week's NME ( scans), where he talks about the Brixton shows: "It's the best venue there is in London. I feel way more excited about playing Brixton than anywhere else, and there's something nice about playing there for a week. We can properly settle in and take over. There's a hell of a lot of songs to choose from now so we'll mix it up massively. We're definitely gonna make sure it's not the same every night".
I can't wait for it.

I can't wait for it. Haha, yes! I reckon the iTunes Festival will have stretched some muscles they always knew they had, but never shown in front of a crowd yet. Imagine the (relatively) smaller setting of Brixton, full of diehards, singing along to the rarities. Magic. #fivenightsfivealbums

That's all i need after the complete gig failure of a year i've had so far. 3 generic arena gigs booked, whilst Brixton gets 5 bespoke set lists... I hope they play a 1hr 45 min remix of Pinch Roller for you all!! Ignore me, i'm being a mardy bum

But seriously, I really don't think that they'll do something really special in Brixton and play short and boring sets elsewhere. I think his main point about Brixton was that they won't play the same setlist there for 5 nights. All the arena dates usually get more or less similar setlists. They didn't play Secret Alphabets and Last Trip in London during the West Ryder arena tour but they did it elsewhere. Sometimes small European gigs get the rarest songs - Black Whistler, Happiness, Pistols... I hope it'll be an exciting and long setlist for everybody. I'm fine with anything really as long as The Doberman is back, I can't describe how much I miss it live.

Gahh, you would!! One benefit of the arena shows will be the full effect of Nick's lighting show and (presumably) Ator's set design. I hope they don't just churn out the Lestah/Glasto stage design, cool as it was. Having said that, i haven't seen it 'live' yet anyway. Doberman.. yes please. Anyone listening in the group?.. please. I'm feeling robbed, cheated and, quite frankly, unloved by the band this year, (I'm conveniently forgetting having been provided with a gorgeous new album). YOU OWE ME! Thanks

Thanks They should play the doberman and anything else you want to prove they still love you I've been thinking the same about the lighting - we probably won't get it all in Brixton, and I really hope Aitor is not lazy and comes up with something new and doesn't use the same Velociraptor era designs, only in pink.

Love your list Ang1, I'd replace British Legion with The Doberman though. Another song I really want to see live is Sun Rise, Tim probably can add lots of magic to it and Serge would sound great now. It can be such a big song now.

After the recent gigs. What songs do you think might be included as surprises on UK tour?

Doomsday and Acid Turkish Bath. Tim pretty much confirmed Doomsday, so not really a surprise, and they've been rehearsing ATB. But of course they might still change their minds about all of it. I'd love a Serge song rotation: Happiness/Secret Alphabets/BL/BW/NN/SPS... Clouds and Neon Noon seem likely.

My wishlist for the rest of the year: Wasted, Good Fight, and someone who can record a good quality bootleg.

Shame I sold my equipment but I wouldn't be able to record at Kasabian standing absolutely still. Wishlist: Wasted, 24/7, + Action
